Flying his own plane? Oef, that must’ve been several years I think. Obviously he had flown plenty of times before that. His piloting career started towards the end of WW2. He had just received his brevet. He might have flown combat missions once or twice but then the war was over. In WW2 (and the years before) he was in the Luftwaffe and was flying as well.
After ww2? I don’t think he stepped into a planet for awhile. He might have borrowed a plane alter to fly some private missions. In modern times he flies historical planes at those airshows.
But his own plane? I had this idea that for his birthday Ludwig built a replica of a WW1 plane so he could fly with it - which he did lol. Of course it takes a very long time to finish building it, so he acquired it only a few years ago. But oh man he was in love with it.
He loves planes and flying ok?
