internet slang not strong .   grace doesn't understand what   ' sybau '   means ,   or   ' mewing ' .   the older acronyms like omg ,   lol ,   those he does know .   he's caught on to slang that comes across more verbally ,   like   ' the way (blank) '   and   ' bet '   and   ' cap '   …   please don't talk to him about chatgpt he will kill himself .   that's banned .   there's a huge poster on the ceiling that is just chatgpt inside a red circle with a line through it .   not allowed .

unfortunately for grace ,   he totally ,   definitely is aware of 6-7 .   he doesn’t even get what it means .   in fact ,   he's pretty convinced that the kids don't know what it means either .   they just think it's funny because it's obnoxious and doesn't make any sense and everyone else does it   ( grace lowkey doesn't like the hand motion that goes with it ,   just makes him so irrationally irritated ! ) .   sometimes the kids bring up their latest slang and grace realizes and has to shut it down right in the middle of class .   he's the fun teacher except for when it matters ,   like when these kids need to learn the important things .

Considering where he'd been dredged up, especially considering the wounds he sustained, his whole body covered in blood, it made sense why he reacted so violently to begin with. Give him space, Ryland told himself, let him calm down and relax.

Rocky was not as patient, but he listened when Ryland asked him to leave the man be. Rocky grumbled and complained and worried at his xenonite, but he listened. The man had locked himself away in the observation room, and what bits he's seen, he's been broadcasting trees on every screen, the lush green leaves swaying in a breeze they cannot feel. Ryland misses trees, so he understands that need to want to be around them.

Though that gets the thoughts going through his head. There were a few plants that were aboard Mary, though he presumed they were supposed to be for experiments, which Ryland ended up not touching at all.

Maybe he'd appreciate something real? Something truly alive?

Carefully plucking up one of the plants from the rack, Ryland swiftly moves towards where his impromptu guest has hidden himself away, approaching the door to tap his knuckles against the surface to catch attention.

"I uh...brought you something..." He calls through the heavy door, unsure if the man would even be willing to open it to see. "I understand you're stressed and you have no reason to trust Rocky and I, but I just...I just want you to know that we mean you no harm..."

Just casually licks as well, definitely behaving like it’s the most normal thing to do ever. Why is he sure he can hear something breaking in the distance?

it’s not that connor doesn’t  like  gavin.....well  ,  actually it  is  that connor doesn’t like gavin.  he doesn’t like gavin  &  rian’s his  brother  .  so naturally  ,  he doesn’t want gavin anywhere near him  ,  &  yet that keeps  happening  for some reason.
