Nothing, that's just the way I happen to be wired. I'm not made to do anything (except work, and maybe sleep); I choose to do those things in a sense that is very different from having a brain wired to do them.

I did think about those parallels a lot, even if the comic medium kind of hampers them. I do wonder how people would react if the game itself did a similar deal of deliberately cutting off the player from the complete conclusion, to hammer home the idea of choices not mattering. I seem to recall hearing that Candace became a lawyer as an adult, and the wiki claims this as well, but the source link they have is broken. It has the acronym "AYA" in it, so I'm guessing it may have been something mentioned in Act Your Age, but I'm not sure. So I was wondering if you might know where that came from. Thanks in advance for any information.

Here's a thought about Henry I've had since I first played the game. He would honestly probably have made a better boyfriend for Angela than Randall did. He was willing to live with her, living in a false marriage, for 18 years, so that she wouldn't have to enter an arranged marriage and could marry Randall when he came back. And 18 years is just what it turned out to be, he didn't know how long he would have to pretend to be her husband. And, because of that, he endured lots of gossip (1/?)
