nooooo little chronically online leftist donβt fall for the mediaβs pervasive purity testing and villainizing thatβs specifically made to divide us and keep us fighting amongst ourselves when we should be focusing on getting the boot off our throats
the most common trait i see in aro/ace exclusionists is the fact that they treat aspec identities as neutral. like any other part of someones identity immediately wins out. if an aro person is sexually attracted to men, that attraction is the determining factor in if they are queer. theres just a total refusal to imagine that aromantic and asexual experiences are a major determining factor in the way we experience life
i think it just goes to show how little some people are willing to engage with a variety of aro and ace people and understand how they experience the world. lack of attraction is not neutral, our entire world is shaped around romantic and sexual attraction and relationships. i think a lot of them would genuinely be surprised at how similar gay and aspec experiences can be if they were willing to actually listen to us
"If I ever met an mspec lesbian in public I'd punch them in the face" wow so you'd commit a hate crime against an lgbt person because of their identity? Because you don't understand your identity, that's uh, cool I guess, no no it's fine it's, idk, I feel like I've heard that sentiment before, yknow, of assaulting people bc of their queer identity, but it's probably nothing, it's fine
I think one of the biggest flaws in the common LGBT community is that the mainstream community at large has an idealist perspective (like hegel) instead of a materialist perspective (like marx).
The modern inclusionist community is very idealist. They have beliefs which imply that reality is a product of our internal thoughts and perceptions. "A lesbian is someone who identifies as a lesbian" or "gender is about what you do not who you are" are idealist perspectives, and seem to be based in faith and performance, which is interesting because Marx's biggest critique of idealism is that it typically always resorts to religion. I would say the mainstream LGBT community operates much like a religion. You must unquestioningly agree that things like xenogenders are the same as being trans, and that there is no difference between being catgender and being nonbinary. That gender is based on performances and expectations alone, and nothing else. Even if you experience dysphoria which clearly counteracts that concept, where you feel that you are your gender detached from all social constructs and groups. They believe that gender is a concept, an ideal. Not something material.
The less common exclusionist communities like transmedicalists have a materialist perspective much like marx, where they believe that our experience is tied specifically to the physical reality, and real material things which can be observed or quantified. These people believe that our experience as humans and our consciousness are neurologically based, and that we are consisted of our physical organs, our brain matter, chemicals, electricity. This I feel is even a more accurate way of looking at it. Gayness, lesbianism, bisexuality, and transness are neurological, just like every other aspect of our existence. Gender is neurological. It's a physical thing, something you can observe. It's material. No ammount of social expectation or faith can change someone's gender or sexual orientation. None of these things are socially constructed. If you are non-binary, you are so on a fundamental, neurological level completely detached from social norms and expectations. Same for if you are trans, or gay, or lesbian, or bisexual. These are fixed aspects of your neurological profile. Material.
Capitalism has informed much of how the mainstream LGBT community treats gender and sexual orientation. It's obvious that social constructism, or inclusionism is idealist and individualist (just like capitalism), and exclusionism is materialist and collectivist (much like communism). Perhaps if the world had a more communistic viewpoint, transmedicalism would be the dominant view of gender.

exclusionists are no better than the LGB without the T alliance. Yall are cousins. You go hand in hand.
When I was younger, I believed in an LGB hierarchy, one that not only measured oppression but general "queerness." This belief wasn't one that was pulled from thin air either, but a it was reflection of trends I saw on social media.
TIMs and TIFs were near the top, their "oppression" the most horrible, their lives the absolute worst, their voices the voices that actually mattered in discussions regarding LGB history and politics. These new, made up identities came next, the pansexual taking precedent over the bisexual, the omnisexual taking precedent over the lesbian. It all seemed to push actual LGB people to the side, ignoring us in favor of those who probably didn't even experience an ounce of same sex attraction.
Looking back on it as a grown woman, I realize just how terrible it is that the little bisexual me felt out of place in her own group because she didn't have a million and one identities that conflicted. I know I tried to prove myself to this imaginary voyeur that demanded I be "queer" instead of who I actually was. I chose a new name, new pronouns, I called myself stupid things like panromantic and asexual. All of my friends were doing it, so why didn't I?
This is to say, there is no such thing as being LGB enough. You are or you aren't. I am bisexual, I am same sex attracted. That's it. That's all there is to it.
