Ever since Blake had come back, it had taken Yang some time to let her get close again. She'd been hurt when Blake had just run away after everything that had happened, just when Yang had needed her the most. But Blake had needed time to think, and Yang understood that. She truly was glad that the team was together again; she had missed everyone.
Blake was trying to make up for everything, which wasn't really necessary. She'd come BACK when they needed her, she'd apologized, and the team had forgiven her.
But over the past few weeks, she'd let her guard down again, and it helped that she and Blake had actually TALKED about what had happened. It was hard to deal with, some days, remembering what had happened, but they offered each other support, and that was really all they could do.
And then Adam had shown up again. Blake had had to fight him on her own before Yang got there, but she'd managed to stay one step ahead of him. Yang and Blake sat close together, away from the others, just taking a moment to BREATHE, now that they could. When Blake spoke, for a moment, Yang wasn't sure she'd heard her correctly. She reached over to pull Blake even closer against her, arm wrapping around the other, even as her left hand sought out Blake's.
"I'm here, Blake," she murmured, pressing a kiss into soft, dark hair. "I'm not going anywhere. We're going to protect each other, remember?" Yang paused for a moment, then shifted slightly, so that she could meet Blake's eyes. "Because I don't wanna know what life is like without YOU, either," the blonde told her, voice soft. And while it wasn't quite the same thing, when she thought Blake had left for good....., well, she didn't want to feel that again. And she didn't want BLAKE to have to go through that, either. "Guess you're stuck with me, huh?" Yang added, offering Blake a lopsided little smile. Because she wasn't going anywhere.
