Qrow retracting his hand makes Oscar tilt his head to look back at him. Eyes linger on the older man for a few minutes as he stumbles through words, before he looks away again, waving his hand to send the feather of a bird that didn't exist anymore back to the ether he'd summoned it from. This time there's no backlash in his skull and Oscar lets himself smile. He's getting better. Little steps. he's young. He doesn't have to run into things.
