This is a real thing that happened
So...the person who was probably the most socially/politically repugnant at work finally rage quit in a spat with the plant manager over his hours. He took his bullet collection, hand grenades, conspiracy theories, and Holocaust denialism and went home.
It may not surprise you to hear that this person is now behaving in some ways that seem...unhinged. He’s been drunk hate texting the company owner, plant manager, and his former supervisor engineer. For weeks. They have finally decided that what he’s doing constitutes communicating threats and have taken some legal action.
I found this out because the company owner took me aside yesterday to tell me that if I see our former Resident Troll come to the front door, I should call 911 straight away. The engineer I’m working with told me I should also start carrying since I work so much up front now. And then he said, “Oh, I forgot you’re not that type of person.”
Today, we got a Priority Mail box and our admin was afraid to open it. Half jokingly, she told me she was afraid it was a bomb from Former Resident Troll. She carried it around for a half hour trying to decide what to do with it. It turned out to be a package of blank address labels ordered from Amazon.
