#murder trigger

In the room was Joey, by the machine and Cam- just like her nightmare, only in place of a silhouette was her uncle. Or someone she’d considered an uncle at least. 

She knew how this ended- She had to stop it! SHE COULDN’T LOSE CAMMY!!!

The rest happened so fast: Hope tackling Joey’s legs, both of them falling… The loud CRACK of bone on metal… The child had just assumed that he was just knocked out, but when she turned to Cam… There was a look of horror in her teary eyes, even as Hope helped undo her bindings and made sure she was okay.

Why did she looks so scared? Hadn’t Hope just saved her?

That’s when the little lemon child turned back to look at Joey, seeing the pool of blood by his still body and having to cover her mouth to stifle the scream. This was, this was all a joke right!? Another nightmare!?

No, no it wasn’t and that was made evident when she went over and shook her uncle’s body.

“U… Uncle Drew…? Uncle Drew, this isn’t funny- G… get up… Please, I’m sorry I tackled you- D… Don’t play a mean joke like this…”

No response, not even breathing.

“J… J… Joey, please? Uncle Joey! Wake up! Please! I’m sorry!! please wake up!!! Uncle Joey, please!!!”

Whimpers grew to begging, begging to yelling, yelling to crying and crying to sobbing. 

What had she done? Gosh, what had she done…! 

Her marriage to the bastard was shaky from the beginning and she basically cut all ties with family and friends. And she brought home the money, not him. 

Anyway, after she missed work which was unlike her and the fact that no one could contact them, the police were brought in. What they found just screams double homicide. 

Their dog was killed, a huge hidden stash of money . . . and the two of them hung. He obviously killed the dog to keep it from protecting her. She obviously was trying to get away but he found the money. No, it wasn’t like an emergency fund sorta deal. While we had grown apart after she got married, my friend would NEVER kill her dog, even to have him “join them” in heaven. She would never allow that. To spare the dog from seeing them dead (if she ever did actually want to commit suicide) she would have locked the dog in the bathroom or something. 

That bastard murdered my friend. 

We still don’t know the details of forensics/autopsy, but I bet you money it’ll show she was killed first and she’ll either show signs of a struggle or be drugged. I just hope she didn’t suffer too much, or hope she was unaware she was being hung. But what gets me the most is that her mother was the first one on the scene. (which why the hell did the cops let a civilian on the scene before them?!?!) She’s such a sweet, kind woman who doesn’t deserve that image seared into her memory forever.

I just . . . I’m sorry. I’m pretty much in shock right now. I’m not quite sure what to think. I study serial killers as a fascination (not a happy one of course, more out of curiosity and hopes to keep myself safe) so I know the behavior. Women don’t hang themselves. If they do, it’s because they have a personality NOT like my friend. 

It’s just surreal. To know that my friend, a girl I joked with, played tag with on the school playground, had sleepovers with . . . was murdered by her husband. Her mortal life was ended most likely in complete terror. 

I’m just waiting for science to confirm she was murdered so everyone will know how horrible of a person her husband was. So his dad can’t go around saying that the two of them “chose to leave this life together” like he posted on Facebook.
