Hai Lan still couldn't believe how this person survive inside the sarcophagus, but she simply shrug it off and let the universe find the answer itself, as she had seen stranger and worse whether she's in a courtroom or in her office, and it's her time to show Nebty outside the museum.

Hai Lan still had no idea where she could take Nebty first, as she might worry things could get overwhelming to her and she wants to make sure the other's experience in the outside world was fun and positive. Hai Lan was on deep thinking, until she had an idea.

A bit silly, perhaps, but Belle appreciates the pharaoh's candour. Besides, who has anything figured out in their 20's anyway? Despite the fact that they've both lived for centuries, Belle finds herself relating more to a generation's youth than otherwise. The heart, she thinks, ages far differently than the body.

"I read mostly-- history, science, politics, poetry. Everything I can get my hands on," she admits. "When I'm not doing that, I can be found in my garden. Roses are my specialty, but I also like to dabble in herbs and vegetables."

Most of the other kids had ended up in other areas of The British Museum, even his own twin sister. She'd always had an interest in art–not that the young boy could very well blame her.

What with the bright colours and various images of flowers.

His interests laid in either the written word or history. Which was young Melvin Krump's reasoning for ending up in the exhibit on Egypt. Mummies, the pyramids and, all of that gold! Excited, young ivy eyes took all of it in…wait had something in the display shifted….?

"…Hullo…?"

This evening, Louie showed up on time and without complaint, only to get chewed out for the first half an hour of his shift. Again. All because he didn’t wipe off marker from some old guy’s enclosure the night before. Why is it his job to get in the middle of the exhibits’ squabbles? Doesn’t he have enough shit to deal with from the visitors alone?

The residents get to trash the place all they want, and if he doesn’t pick up every little thing, he’s the one who gets in trouble. It’s not fair, he’s sick of it, and it ends today.

He’s looming over the sarcophagus when Nebty awakens for the night, his gaze hard and dark in the after-hours gloom of the Egyptian Wing. For a moment, he just stares at her, but once he’s certain she sees him, he brandishes his mop like a sword and sticks the end right in her face.

   Craig was indeed about to go apeshit, irritated as he was.  His short fuse got shorter all the time, as the moronic dickwads in this town insisted on lighting it continually.  However, hearing that phrase from Tutenstein, the new kid—if he could be called a kid and not a crime against nature—shocked Craig so terribly that he forgot to stay mad.

   His posture slowly straightened so that he no longer resembled a coiled snake ready to strike, and his face went from a snarl to blankly dumbfounded to a slow smile accompanied by a glint in his blue eyes.  “Holy shit, dude,” he said, punctuated by a clipped laugh.  “You’re starting to catch on pretty quick.”
