Ok my biggest gripe about the Institute being the enemy and how you have to destroy them if you side with any other faction to âfinishâ the game is that unless youâre kicked out immediately, youâre literally the successor of the place. Father is going to Die. Itâs inevitable - cancer, or old age, either way he has a year or two max if cancer, and maybe a few more if old age.Â
Which brings me to my point. Why the ever living Hell canât we just wait it out? Instead of blowing it to hell and not even bothering to take any of the research theyâve been doing the last 100 years. Aside from the FEV experiments and, yâknow, kidnapping and murder, the Institute is meant to be doing experiments to benefit the surface once they re-claim it. It absolutely Baffles me that nobody went âhuh maybe we should at least take a few of these seedsâ, âthese schematics look importantâ, âwell weâve already hacked the mainframe why donât we download 100 years of scientific research in case itâs important (it is)â
You canât just...make the whole thing about Father Dying some poor attempt at making you care for the arrogant, holier-than-thou âsonâ of yours and not acknowledge that his death literally means you could do what you want with the faction. You can stop more synths being made. Stop the kidnapping. BE KIND TO SYNTHS AND ALLOW THEM TO LIVE THEIR OWN LIVES. Use the technology to benefit the wasteland, and push the scientistsâs further research into things thatâll help people as itâs INTENDED to. Close the gap between them and the rest of the Commonwealth to get rid of the fear associated with synths so they are safer and happier and can be integrated into communities as they should be.Â
The Institute is Bad but with Father dying and you next in line, regardless of who you side with against them, there is NO reason why the only solution is turning the CIT into a nuclear cesspit likely to cause damage to anyone living around there and destroy 100+ years of scientific research that can be useful to the entire Commonwealth.Â
hey just my 2 cents here but i donât understand how they can charge Fallout 76 as a full price game ($79) when itâs an online game where your experience kinda revolves around other players, no NPCs and no companions. like yeah itâs pretty but it feels more like a spin-off online game than something Iâd pay $79 for
"I'M DOING WHAT'S BEST FOR THE PEOPLE OF THE COMMONWEALTH" says the man who has literally not talked to single person of the Commonwealth, Ever
anyway im usually super hype for fallout things but ngl i just straight up donât like that this what, 3 hour+ stream hasnât actually revealed anything and youâve just got guys coming in and bobbing the bobblehead or a puppet dabbing like... noah fence i just donât find it funny or hype inducing... give us an announcement you cowards...

Do you ever think about how Shaun was yanked from Vault 111 because he was genetically 'pure' and 'untainted' from radiation and mutation where radiation/mutation mainly results in cancer yet despite this Father ended up with Super Cancer⢠because I think about it a lot
I mean. I looked up pre-order prices for EB Games and this is what I got? JB Hi-Fi gave me the $79 price so idk what sites youâre looking at
Iâm glad youâre looking forward to playing it with friends and solo but you gotta keep in mind not everyone is going to be able to and it is Bold of you to assume I have a) friends b) friends in the same timezone c) friends who want to purchase a $80-100 game and d) the time to play it with me the Exact time I want to play itÂ
As for companions I sincerely hope there will be, but given that Todd has said players will replace NPCs entirely, Iâm doubtful. The mechanic of having a companion doesnât make sense if the other 20+ players miss out on said companion.
Considering Coursers are physically and intellectually superior to the humans who made them, I sincerely doubt they havenât developed self awareness at LEAST, and their own free will. It might be hidden under obedience to the Institute and general apathy as âkilling machinesâ, but I donât doubt itâs there. We see it with X6-88, that coursers talk to each other, they have opinions and can hide a lot of things until comfortable with someone.
My biggest gripe is why Coursers, for all their intelligence and prowess, still end up defending the Institute while they are likely ACUTELY AWARE the faction is done for during The Nuclear Option. Surely some took the self-preservation option and fled, protecting scientists or just living on their own because theyâre more than capable of surviving unaided.Â
