Weaselstar was born in the lake territories, in a far future where ThunderClan absorbed ShadowClan and its territory. Her parents were both rogues, though Dew refused to have her name changed, and her refusal to acclimate to Clan ways was her downfall.

As a kit, Weaselstar got into a fight with a ThunderClan warrior who was bringing her and her fellow ShadowClan-camp kin to their leader, Spiderstar, for trying to intimidate one of them, and was brutally attacked. The right side of her face was never the same, leaving her with a droopy eye and mangled ear. Said warrior was then named her mentor.

Spiderstar named young Weaselpaw Weaselface, mostly as a joke, but she took to the name without any issues. Despite being named mate to Adderpelt, Spiderstar’s son, Weaselface had relations with a fellow apprentice (Antpaw) in the days before her ceremony, and her litter was technically his, but he had died before getting his name. Adderpelt didn’t mind. He and Weaselface were close friends from a young age, and romance was never really part of the equation.

Weaselface felt guilty about lying about who the father was to Sweetshine, a fellow queen and close friend, who had been in love with Antpaw. Desperate, she decided to leave the Clans, and instead slipped and fell into the Moonpool. StarClan told her they’d been waiting for her to arrive for a long time now, and gave her nine lives, bidding her to rebuild ShadowClan, as the major power imbalance of only three was destroying them all from within. 

Weaselface returned and spilled the beans to Sweetshine, who explained that she was well aware, and had even supported Antpaw, wanting him to be happy. They decided to raise their litters together, and fell in love.

As their kits grew into apprentices, Weaselface finally took action, standing up at a Gathering and proclaiming herself the new leader of ShadowClan. She had one life stripped of her to show it to be true, and the other two leaders (always up for spiting Spiderstar) welcome her with open paws, officially making her Weaselstar.
