Yesterday was gorgeous atop the summit of Mt Jackson. While skills were being learned in the (still wicked snowy) Mt Washington Valley, Redline Guide Ken Hodges was leading an almost literally last minute tour of this 4000-footer. Our guest happened to be a very experienced hiker and AMC all season leader who absolutely didn't "need" us but being the winter-rated leader he is, also knows fully well the dangers of soloing in the winter (or during the winter-like shoulder season) so felt it a prudent decision. Yesterday I took a walk to this little #cairn on #passaconaway. Then this morning had breakfast on top of #mtjackson with #mtwashington in the foreground. Then I decided to go climb the big cairn on #mthale before lunch. Now I'm back home ready to fight the school traffic.

Due to the harsh weather on the peaks, we got no summit photos. However we did get a shot of the Silver Cascade Falls/Brook that sits in between Jackson and Webster.
