A specific event. Largely a lot of dead people who are extremely angry dragging other living people down with it. And to a lesser extent Red because he’s a cryptid.

It doesn’t snow for five months out of the year. So for seven months it’s effectively winter. It’s usually chilly and humid, and it gets below freezing on most nights. The base of the mountain is a little more forgiving and has a lot of tall grasses that thrive in the area. Ground types have irrigated the base of it. If you look for the old mine entrances you’ll find them at the base.
