Myth of the InkIsle Plague info dump !!
We bring to you, small info dump on Myth of the InkIsle Plague !!
This may be a bit of a read, so be warned.
For those who don't know, Myth of the InkIsle Plague {MotIP} is an AU that we created that's inspired by Quest for the Ink Machine/Myth of the Machine, just with a crap ton more cartoons (and Poppy Playtime) shoved in.
But there's a difference...
If you couldn't tell by the AU's name, the whole premise of the AU is; there's a an "infection" of sorts that's passed through the InkIsles.
It starts off as any illness would, just a simple flu passing through, that's what the doctors said.
Until an incident happened in one of the hospitals.
The illness was deemed incontiguous, so they didn't see any need for isolation from the rest of the hospital for the few who'd gotten bad enough they needed to stay overnight.
You can guess how well that went when a few of the patients seemingly "mutated" and killed nearly everyone in the hospital. (Think Bendy's ink monster form, CatNap's hallucination form, and nightmare Huggy.)
Once word got out about some Toons could mutate if the illness got bad enough, everything went to hell.
Some were sent out to collect Toons who had the illness, to keep them under observation, but as you can imagine, that didn't blow over well with some.
In the more rural areas, Toons who had the illness had either ran or were "taken care of" by their neighbors.
Keep in mind, this AU is still a major W.I.P, so some of this may change, get removed, or have things added.
Nothing you see here is finalized, this is just what we have for now.
Now for a little more info dumping !!
Unknowing = Nobody knows they have it, not even themselves.
Knowing = They know they have it, but they haven't told anyone.
Open = They know they have it, as do some others.
Characters that have the illness
Oliver "Ollie" Ludwig - Stage one, unknowing.
Bendy Stein - Stage three, open.
Theodore "CatNap" Grambell - Stage three, unknowing.
Kevin Barnes, Matthew Hallard, Jack Ayres - Stage one, unknowing.
Gigi Lootbox - Stage two, unknowing.
Simon "Smoke" Delaney - Stage one, open.
"Touille" - Stage one, knowing.
Sprout Seedly - Stage three, knowing.
Again, still a W.I.P, so some of these characters may later not have the illness (that we still need to name), and some characters may get added as we finish more designs.
Also, we have a plan so don't go freaking out if a character you like is in the list they're not gonna die. (Most likely.)
Now for the stages !!
Symptoms are not a constant thing. It's like when you get a stomach bug; you could feel horrible for a bit, then feel somewhat normal again the next moment.
Stage one: Not much different from your average flu, though Toons can't pass it to another.
Symptoms: Loss of energy, mild hot flashes, mild headaches.
Stage two: This is when they noticed this wasn't just a simple flu, but it wasn't anything too serious.
Symptoms: Severe loss of energy, mild hot flashes, mild headaches, small itchy patches on skin, increased appetite, mild night terrors. < newly discovered symptom.
Stage three: This is when it started getting worrisome and serious.
Symptoms: Sudden energy increase, hot flashes, headaches, larger itchy patches on skin + fur/scale loss (if the Toon infected has either), increased appetite, frequent night terrors and sudden panics, [BLOTTED OUT.]
Stage four: [INCOHERENT WRITTING.]
Symptoms: It's over. We're doomed.
You can assume stage four is when the mutation happens. lol
There are a few things we have in mind for like... the plot and whatnot, but we're not going to share it as that would spoil things...
