#Repost @laticreteaustralia with @get_repost ・・・ The Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford recently opened the doors to its new state-of-the-art building in California, USA. At 48,402m2, the new building depicts California’s diverse ecosystem and natural beauty, with each floor representing a native eco-region. International award-winning mosaic artist Gary Drostle and his company, UK-based Drostle Public Arts, created and installed 19 hand-cut mosaics using Winckelman Unglazed Porcelain, a set of bronze medallions and 700 hand-cast glass leaves to be set in a specially-designed terrazzo floor. New Years Day 2016 - I’m beavering away in my studio, trying to finish a very large mosaic panel, inspired by Gaudi, to be installed in a walled garden. Last year saw my work in more gardens than I could ever have imagined, so I’m excited for the new year ahead, and hoping for another prosperous and productive year!  Happy New Year to all my clients and to all those I have yet to meet!!!
