Vocal,  auditory and tactile stims!! 

Probably has like 20 different chewables in his room cus he’s an aggressive chewer when he stims.

Refuses to be seen with a stim toy so he only uses them in the comfort of his own room.

He hums. He rubs his knuckles against his thigh slowly with even pressure. He’ll bite on his fingers if he’s out of he comfort of his room.

He thinks Kiri and Sero have really nice voices. They almost never fail to sort of calm him down.

Definitely has echolalia and when he was younger he had to teach himself to avoid words that trigger it. 

He’s not super adverse to scent. He actually has a lot of scents he likes. Especially the scents of his favorite people. He finds them grounding and comforting and he can just get sucked into a trance.

HE HATES SLIMY THINGS

Like they make him want to gag

He’s 95% touch adverse and will go out of his way to not touch someone

He has to initiate the physical contact

HATES LIGHT TOUCHES. If your gonna touch him it has to have a certain amount of pressure behind it. 

He’s incredibly schedule oriented. But, prefers to block out his day as opposed to schedule every second of his day. He used to have his days planned down to the minute but switched to blocking when he realized he’s gonna have to be more flexible when he becomes a hero. 

Hyper fixated on being the #1 hero. 

All Might is his special interest and has accidently info dumped on Kirishima once. (Neither speak about the time this happened)

He doesn’t mask in terms of his blunt and kind of curt way of talking but does when it comes to “acting autistic”

Extremely observant of the things that tend to be happening around him because that minimizes the chances of him being caught off guard. He knows all of the gossip in the school because people never pay attention to whos around them when they gossip. 

He has learned the mannerisms of the entire bakusquad. 

Meltdowns for him mean him exploding and pushing everyone away from him. Usually followed by a period of him becoming non-verbal.

Shutdowns are harder to catch. He’ll curl in on himself. He won’t talk as much. He’ll avoid touch at all cost, even if its from one of his favorite people. His social battery will be in the negatives so he’ll hold up in his room for super long. He’s semi-verbal and will just fixate on a special interest or one of his current hyper-fixations till he starts to feel better

Random Headcannons:

 Aizawa easily figures out all of the undiagnosed kids on the spectrum. Like I imagine Iida, Deku, Momo, and Koda have all been diagnosed prior to entering UA. But, the rest of them don’t end up getting diagnosed till Aizawa comes into their life.

Toshinori is the kid who has been told his whole life “But you don’t look autistic” this lead to a lot of internalized ableism and him becoming a pro at masking. 

Izuku has always been a full body stimmer. He rocks he taps he bounces. 

Iida is also a full body stimmer. Lots and LOTS of hand flaping! He is the epitome of loud hands. 

 Izuku’s special interests (SI) are All-Might, Quirks, and Pro-Heros.

Asui’s favorite thing to stim with is slime. She likes the texture and the way it feels cool against her skin.

Kiri will chew on literally any and everything. He’s an aggressive chewer and even the strongest chewables never last more than a month cus of his shark teeth. 

Momo has a special interest in science mainly chemistry. Not only because of her quirk but because everything makes sense if you know the rules and the basics. 

Todoroki has a hard time understanding social norms and social cues. 

Todoroki is super touch adverse and has to initiate physical contact

Koda is almost completely non-verbal and the bunny he has in his dorm is an emotional support animal. 

Aoyama’s favorite stim is anything that has floating glitter. 

Aizawa HATES loud and crowded environments they make him super over stimulated and drain his social battery. 

Ochako very rarely strays outside of her safe foods. She could have the same foods every day for a month and not have any issues. 

Mei has a SI in engineering and STEM in general. 

Mei also has 0 ability to listen to her body. She’ll send all day in the development studio and power loader has to remind her to take breaks and go eat/drink water.

Present Mic has 0 volume control and is an auditory stimmer.

Aizawa is a Tactile/Auditory stimmer. 

All of 1A has a walk out policy in the classroom. At any point anyone in the room can just get up and walk out of the class room to go stim or calm down or get some air. 

In the back of the room Aizawa has a area filled with stim toys he knows his students enjoy. There are tangles, squish toys, small weighted pillows, fidget cubes/spinners and a calm down jar (a jar willed with water and glitter).

Tokoyami is saying something to you and your trying to pay attention. You see him talking but you aren’t hearing the words. You’re starting to feel overstimulated and can’t stay in the common room anyone.

You wanna say something but your brain is to stuck trying to make sense of the noises around you and you can’t. So you get up and b-line it up to your room. You don’t even wait for the elevator you take the stairs.

You leave all your friends kind of concerned and confused. Poor Tokoyami is scared he said something to like offend you or something so he decides he’ll give you your space now and talk to you during dinner.

But when you don’t show up to dinner he gets concern and heads up to your room instead.

You’re kinda like “😳😳 he cared enough to comecheck on me😳😳”

He explains that he was worried he might of said something to offend you and you kind of have to explain to him that you’re autistic and were getting sensory overload and couldn’t handle that environment anymore.

After you tell him that your autistic he makes it a point to educate himself on autism so he can be a better friend and future boyfriend

He ask you questions about it when you two are alone because he realizes that autism effects everyone differently.

He lets you hide in his room if you have light sensitivity issues cus he has blackout curtains

When he finally gets the nerve to ask you out he takes you out to an arcade and then stargazing (I totally headcannon Tokoyami as a astronomy/astrology nerd)

He’s just so patient and kind with you it’s so adorable.

He always try’s to be as clear about his feelings as possible so there’s nothing to misinterpret

If you buy him something that reminded you of him he will be a blushing mess and that cool and mysterious person he has will completely disappear.

Buys you things pertaining to your special interest.

He’ll listen to you ramble about your hyper fixations / special interest. He thinks it’s cute as hell to see how passionate you are about the things you love. Even if he has no idea what your going on about.

Dark shadow absolutely loves you and won’t hesitate to intimidate anyone that looks at you sideways for stimming or just ✨existing as an autistic ✨ in public

I feel like he’s the type to buy you blackout curtains and a weighted blanket if you don’t already have one

When you get over stimulated he’ll take you somewhere quiet and if you let him touch you he’ll just hold you really tight with like nice firm pressure that keeps you grounded

He reminds you to eat and drink water and take your meds (or vitamins if you don’t take meds!)

He is single handedly the one thing keeping you from complete and total autistic burnout. He will literally pick you up and drag you away from whatever is making you burnt out.

You had printed out and laminated the recipe, a precaution to ensure that you wouldn’t lose the recipe if things got messy in the kitchen. You had also printed out the ingredient list to take with you to the store. Only trading the traditional cherry liquor for plain old cherry juice. Now with the ingredients and the recipe laid out on the counter in front of you. First you retrieved and washed all the utensils, bowls and pans you would need. Then you made work of mixing up cake batter. The recipe seemed simple enough and you had observed Sato make similar cakes before. It didn’t take a lot for you to fall into the soothing motions of baking. You had headphones on and music playing so you just hummed to the music as you went along combining ingredients. Once you had placed the cakes in the oven and had set a timer you worked on pitting cherries. After the cherries were taken care of you worked on the  frosting and cherry syrup. By the time all that was done it was time to pull the cakes out the oven. Seeing as the cakes had to cool, you took that time to clean up the kitchen a bit. Softly humming to the music playing in your ears as you put all the dirty dishes in the sink and the excess ingredients in their proper place. 

Finally, the cakes were cooled enough to assemble. You started by leveling them off and cutting them in half so you’d have more even layers. Then you go to assemble it. Cake, cherry syrup, frosting, chopped up cherries, repeat. All the way till you placed the final layer of cake on top of it. Now was your favorite part. The decorating, you pulled out your phone and looked at your reference picture. 

Just as you set the cake in the fridge to set up a bit more you got a text from Ojiro telling you that they were heading back to the dorms now. Everything was going to plan! You made quick work to decorate the kitchen. You had somehow managed to get the rest of the class out of the dorms for the day. It didn’t take much, all you had to do was mention to Mina the recent opening of a mall in Tokyo, and soon enough s,purple and black streamers alongside some black balloons. 

The anxiety didn’t kick in till you were left waiting for your boyfriend and his friends to come back. You tugged at your fingers and wondered if he’d even like the cake, or your gift. You looked at the gift you had wrapped. You had even found red wrapping paper with little ravens on it. You took a deep breath in an attempt to calm yourself just as you heard the sound of soft chatter and footsteps approaching the kitchen. 

“I don’t see why we're going to the kitchen? We just had ramen at that shop like 2 hours ago” Tokoyami said as he rounded the corner to the Kitchen.

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY” you cheered as he entered. Quiet obviously catching him off guard. The look of surprise on his face was enough to elicit a laugh from you and his friends as he looked around at the decorations. The cake sat pretty in the middle of the kitchen island with your gift for him and the gifts from the rest of his friends to the right of it. 

You rounded the kitchen island and placed a soft kiss to the side of his beak. You weren’t one for PDA not even in front of the both of your friends but, it was his birthday. You and everyone else made their way over to the kitchen island and Tokoyami looked at you almost speechlessly. 

“You made me a cake? You did all of this for me?”

“Of course I did. Who else would I do it for if not you.” You said with a smile. 

Shoji lit the candles you had placed on the cake and the group sang happy birthday, which seemed to embarrass Tokoyami more. He blew out the candles with the help of dark shadow. You cut up and served the cake before sitting in the living room and just enjoying each others company. 

After some thinking you decided against giving him his present in front of everyone else. It just caused a little bit more anxiety than you were comfortable with. So when everything was said and done with the rest of the class returning and your little group of friends going their separate ways you went with Tokoyami to his room. There you presented him with your present. You watch him open it delicately while dark shadow peered at the gift over his shoulder. What you had gotten him was a book he had mentioned wanting a few weeks back and some other pieces of gothic literature you thought he might like. He opened his arms to hug you and you closed the space between the two of you. Nuzzling your face in his neck as dark shadow rested atop your head. This was always so nice and comforting being surrounded by the two of them. 

“Thank you for making my birthday so wonderful.” he said softly as he held you, and you knew that all your hard work today had been more than worth it.

Mina was on snack duty and had enlist Kirishima to help her with her trip to the konbini. Leaving the rest of the group to set up the living room for movie night. By the time the two of them had returned the living room felt cozy and homey. Sero had hung the fairy lights that Mina always insisted on putting up. The couches and coffee table had been pushed aside to make space. The floor had been covered in blankets and pillows pulled from everyone’s dorm room and the linen closet.

Mina had made sure to pick up everyone’s favorite snacks and drinks and tossed you the box of popcorn to prep for the group. You let out a groan being on popcorn duty was arguably the worst job to be given on movie nights. Not because it was a particularly hard job, all you had to do was put the popcorn in the microwave and wait for it. But, the person on popcorn duty always got last pick for spot on the floor and ultimately ended on the outside of the cuddle pile till someone else got up to go to the bathroom. But nevertheless you hurried off to the kitchen and luckily for you Sero and Kiri had left the room to grab things when you came back with the almost comically large bowl of popcorn. Meaning you got to be comfy next to Denki while you waited for the other two to come back. Throwing pieces of popcorn at him as he attempted to catch them in his mouth. Somehow managing to catch almost all of the pieces to you’re surprise.

When Sero and Kiri had rejoined you Kiri took the spot to your left and joined in on throwing popcorn at Denki albeit with less accuracy.

By the time the first movie had finish Bakugo was out like a light. Which wasn’t anything new, he was almost always the first one to fall asleep. By the time Denki had turned on the third movie which he insisted was the best one Kirishima and Mina had also fallen asleep. Kirishima’s arm thrown haphazardly over your stomach as he nuzzled into your side. He was always extremely cuddly when he feel asleep. You rested your head on Denki and across the room Sero yawned as he lazily tapped away on his phone. Joining in the hushed conversation you and Denki were having over who would be who if class 1-A were in Shrek. Denki insisted that Bakugo would be Shrek and Kiri would be donkey and you couldn’t help but to laugh. Mina had been assigned the role of Fiona and Jiro the fairy godmother is only for the way she sang “I need a hero”. You’re not sure which one out of the three of you fell asleep first or when you even fell asleep.

But, soon enough splotched of lights danced over your closed eyelid and the hushed murmured talking of Mina and Sero could be heard. You opened your eyes and attempt to stretch only to find yourself cuddled between Denki and Kiri. Maybe five more minutes wouldn’t hurt.

I’m so sorry that this took so long to actually get out for some reason. I swear school and Uni applications have kind of just been turning my brain into mush. - 🦋Morpho🦋
