Why should it be me that has to reconcile? I'm real and if the church believes that it is where everyone needs to be to follow God's plan so it had better make it so I can be there if they want me. Reconcile yourself to my reality first and then we can talk.

Heresies (Mormon flavoured)
To begin, a heresy is defined thusly
My favourite heresy is that God indicates a plural bring who should be referred to by they/them pronouns. Heavenly Father and Mother both are God (this last sentence is not Mormon!heretical, simply explanatory)
Another one is that rather than blindly submitting to the Will of God and outsourcing our sense of morality and justice, we should do a lot more work about it! Sometimes boundaries with God are important.
The historical...anything about the book of Mormon is less important than the relationship that the stories encourage you to have with God and others. If it is an historic document then it should be understood that it is extremely biased. Particularly the histories of the Nephites and Lamanites and when they clash needs to be understood through the lens of understanding human bias and the need for justification of actions. The Lamanites were probably just out there being people which isn't to say anything about anything other than that you can't assume 100% correctness from someone's ancestral enemy.
Queer people are following God's plan for us.
Also if anyone gets a hold of my posts and assumes I'm anti-mormon please know that I am extremely disgruntled and my time as a Mormon is very much coming to an end, but at the end of the day I am not anti.
If anything I wish it was something that I could be again without causing myself harm. But as it stands that is not possible and I am accepting that.
Mormonism has gifted me many things, including an absolutely steadfast belief that God is happy that queer people are queer and that God wants us to be honest with ourselves and find ways to lives our lives fully and as our favourite selves.
I think all Christians should do one thing Jesus would do that they personally don't think of doing at least once every day.
Like give cash to a homeless person or asking them what would be the most help to them cash or something else.
Genuinely being guided by compassion to help someone even if you don't think they're a good person.
Genuinely listening to someone and then acting how they need you to act.
I've been thinking about the gap between Christianity as practiced and the Potential of Christianity to be something that makes people truly experience compassion and then act on it. Charity is the true love of Christ so I think that if you believe in Christ and you want to be more like him then charity is where to begin.
If we turn our faith inwards instead of outwards I think we would be better people for it. I know I'm a better person since I stopped trying to spread the gospel and began to try to live it instead.

I'm not watching conference, I'm probably never going to watch conference again.
But my beloved siblings who are, please remember that human beings who are in power want to stay that way.
The church is facing yet another cultural shift in the world and we, historically, do not face with cultural shifts easily. There will be a lot of nonsense and there will be a fair amount of blasphemy. Don't loose heart, keep firm in your belief that the church should not be a vehicle for abuse and bigotry.
Keep firm in your attachment to personal revelation. Keep firm in your knowledge of right and wrong and do not let an organization --even one that has shaped that knowledge for you-- tell you that something isn't wrong when it is clearly hurting people.
"By their fruits ye shall know them" is our answer to this, it always has been.
Remember that the critical thinking hats stay ON and that while Mormonism isn't a cult, there are plenty of people who wish it was.
