‘Do more of what you want your body to be able to do’. . A few weeks ago I tried an ‘intermediate’ yoga class 👀. Not because I’m an intermediate yogi (in any sense of the word) but because I was encouraged to ‘just come’. And if you know me, you know that I’ll try just about any type of fitness-related class (at least once lol). . It was hard. My flexibility is not what it was 3 years ago. I struggled. Big time. When I tell you, I thought my shoulders would just fall off and become a permanent part of my yoga mat, I’m not exaggerating. 😩 . But it was in that moment that I remembered something that I’m constantly telling my clients: that’s what change feels like. It’s painful. It’s hard. It can bring out our most negative self-dialogue. But all of that discomfort and at times, self-doubt is a part of our bodies’ journey to be able to do more - more strength, more health, more resilience. . No matter what your personal journey is or where you are in that journey, I encourage you to do more of what you want your body to do. And get comfortable with being uncomfortable. . As for me - keep me in your prayers. I tried to do a split a few days ago and LAWD. #moreyoga . #gymhooky #fitness #fitnessmotivation #fitnessgirl #yoga #strongwomen #fitspo #goals https://www.instagram.com/p/Br5bnL-DTR-/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=17jthpnjwi7qe
