How Did I Get The Name "More One Night"?
I realized my Saturday morning cartoon live streams play at different times at different time zones. In North America, Toon Time Theater is a Saturday morning cartoon block. However, it's a late-night anime block in Japan. Unlike other late-night anime blocks on Japanese TV stations, mine has English dubs for the most part, and English, the most commonly-spoken language on Earth, is used as a secondary language in Japan and Mexico. Those are the two of the four areas I serve for my live-streams, with the others being the United States (my birthplace and home country) and Canada. Back to the topic of late-night timeslots in Japan, I nickname the Saturday Morning Animation Cram Session as "More One Night", named after that one song from Girl's Last Tour. I barely thought of other names, but lately, I had ideas of using these names:
"Una Noche" and "Just One Night" won't work, since it sounds like I host a one-time event. "Another Night" works better, but sounds too generic. One Saturday Midnight sounds wicked, but I'm afraid there are too many One Saturday Morning references over the years, especially with Litton's and Hearst's One Magnificent Morning, which has nothing to do with the former block from the Walt Disney company.
Midnight Channel? That's creative, but I'm too embarrassed to live-stream preschool programming. As much as I liked watching Gullah Gullah Island reruns at midnights when I was a kid, I'm afraid I'm too old for that, and I have no children to adopt or give birth to. I enjoyed watching midnight Recess reruns on Disney XD, but at times, I find it a little too aggressive. If I do get to relive those memories, might as well live-stream them with the Midnight Channel branding, but Gullah Gullah Island would be the odd one out, hence it being a live-action preschool program.
I miss qubo, but I barely watched the channel growing up. I liked the Night Owl block on the qubo channel that aired shows like Animorphs.
I could use the Night Owl or Night Wolf names for my late-night live streams later on, but I think "More One Night" is perfect since it means that we (American) viewers get more cartoons in the same night. Now that I no longer have Cartoon Network, adult swim and Toonami, I will have to make my own alternative and show Toonami how much better I can do with the lineups. Toonami still exists, but we're in a world with no officially-run Saturday morning cartoon blocks on FCC-controlled American TV networks. I run anime live-streams to serve as a bridge between the Saturday morning cartoon blocks of the past and the late-night anime blocks of the present.
