dunno how much you know about mcr (great starter) but, if UNDEAD is the enstars equivelant, does that make Rei Gerard Way. Would Rei Sakuma wear the Cheerleading Outfit. The Nurses Uniform. The Bela Legosi Dracula Costume. The Short Shorts.
i think he'd probably wear either those or nursery home clothes

A Tale of Two Tuttles - OC Dr Nathaniel Beckett, alias Dr Jonathan Tuttle, is part of a time travel experiment and is living in the past when he gets drafted to the 4077th MASH... who has already held a funeral for a Captain Tuttle. Some crossover with sci-fi, particularly Quantum Leap. Status: stuck on chapter five.
My Dear Doctor - OC Dr (needs a first name still) Munden arrives at the 8055th MASH (or some other unit) circa July 1951 during an outbreak. Her unit is down for the count (Think âCarry On Hawkeyeâ) and the 4077th sends some assistance: Pierce himself. Afterwards they keep in touch by letter, swapping stories about each camp, and eventually fall in love. Status: stuck in world-building. Nothing posted (I think)
So I set a goal this year to write a million words before the end of the year (December 30) and I'm roughly 135,000 words from my goal. Which I'm excited, really! But I'm also realizing that is a lot of words and I'm up till nearly 4am the last three days writing.... I've baked, 3 dozen sugar cookies, 2 dozen snicker doodle cookies, 3 dozen shortbread cookies, another batch of snicker doodles dough (serious say that out loud it's fun) and a baker's dozen cinnamon buns.... Apparently Christmas is like do or die for me lol
Anyway I'm ranting, and avoiding writing... Back to the word. Word.

summary: killua is distracted because gon has freckles now. itâs been yearsâshould he be surprised?
notes: whooooo wants a reunion fic? itâs still technically killugon day in this time zone! kindasorta a follow-up to this drabble I wrote a few weeks ago. (serious internet cookies should be sent in the direction of @wuzzyletoastermac for helping get this thing done!!!) killugon, gen, 1300 words.
â
Killua tries to not not think about the length of time between the last voicemail he leaves and when he sees Gon again. He carries on with his life and avoids the thought of how his phone weighs more than ever, how every dark-haired stranger makes him pause for a moment and hope. So heâs not at all prepared when Gon finally tracks him down in a run-down bus shelter, Killua halfway between visiting Alluka and starting a new job with Ikalgo and Palm and Gon looking like heâs been on the road for weeks.
Somehow, itâs not the fact that Gon shows up out of nowhere that shocks Killua. Itâs part of what makes him so interesting, after all: Gon makes doing the impossible not just seem possible, but inevitable. Instead, itâs the smattering of freckles across his nose.
Even with the highest quality vidscreensâa luxury neither of them have most of the time, between travel and running and barely-connecting messagesâKilluaâs certain he would never have been able to see the freckles until theyâre standing face to face, the first time in years, and neither of them can stop grinning but neither of them knows which way to move. But now that heâs noticed them, he canât stop staring.
Killua feels kind of stupid. Of all the things to notice about Gon, itâs not that heâs still wearing shorts (although theyâre longer, pockets full of knick-knacks and dog treats and who knows what else), or that his boots arenât green anymore (theyâre brown, maybe, under the mud), or that heâs no longer eye-level with Killua but somewhere around his nose (his hair still sticks up the same way, and if itâs a bit shorter thatâs neither here nor there). Itâs not even the way his arms have started to fill out, or that heâs finally gotten rid of that stupid green jacket and replaced it with a just-as-stupid green vest over orange shirt, like he canât and wonât get rid of the colors (and Killuaâs not sure if heâd want that, because green is a jungle is Gon).
No, itâs trying to count the freckles dusted across Gonâs cheeks. Thereâs not a lot, but Killua doesnât remember them even from when they parted at the World Tree. He doesnât remember them from before that, either, the time when days blurred into months and it seemed like they knew everything about each other. Has Gon always had freckles? Because Killua knows heâd have wanted to touch them, trace the constellations across dark skinâIs Gon blushing? Why wouldâŚ?
Before Killua can figure out the answer to that question, Gon breaks eye contact, rubbing the back of his neck like heâs trying to get rid of the redness spreading across his skin.
Itâs like a lifetimeâs passed since they have been together, days and weeks and months and years. Killua could have counted how much time passedâfor the longest time, he did, tracking passing days like other people hold onto snow globes or favorite songsâbut at some point, it didnât matter as much exactly how long it was between phone calls or letters. If asked now, Killua wouldnât be able to give an answer other than too long.
âLong time, no see, right?â Gon says to somewhere around Killuaâs ear. Killua knows Gonâs voice has changed a lot since they were thirteen. Heâs heard it on the phone more times than he can count, cracking and cackling over unstable connections and shitty wifi. But itâs still different in a weird way, like how Gonâs freckles is same-but-different in a weird way. It tingles down his arms like bottled-up lightning, making his chest ache. Itâs almost like a dream, one heâs had more often than heâll ever admit, not to anyone, not even to Gon.
Killua swallows. This is just Gon. Gon. One of his most important people in the whole world. His best friend. But itâs harder to find the right words now that theyâre in armâs reach than when they were speaking from opposite ends of the world.
âWhat took you so long?â he says, trying to keep his voice light.
Gon huffs, and for a moment theyâre thirteen again and arguing over the best route to Masadora. âIt wasnât exactly easy to find you, Killua.â
He tries to grin, scratching the side of his cheek. âYeah, well. That was the point. No one finds me if I donât let them.â Itâs always been for Alluka and Nanika, really, but after more than two years, secrecy is second-nature. Even with a semi-permanent base to come back to, itâs not like Killuaâs had a home, not since he left Kukuroo Mountain when he was eleven. If anything, home has been a person. People. Those he loves.
Gon still wonât meet his eyes, instead focused on his shoulder or the stop sign behind him. Heâs so still, hands gripping his bag tight enough to turn his knuckles white, and Killua doesnât know what to do to break the glass bubble theyâre in. He takes a deep breath and lets it out all at once, hoping it takes the nerves with him. âI wouldnâtâve let you find me if I didnât want you to.â
âI know.â His best friend drifts off, searching for words that once came easily between the two of them. âI wanted to see you again, butâŚâ
The words burrow into Killua's chest and squeeze, because thereâs little heâs wanted more in the last few years than that same thing. Heâs changedâthey both have, not just in height or weight but how Killua has new friends in new places, or how Gon turns over his words before speaking.Â
Gon bites his lip, forcing the words out. âYou have your own life now, with Alluka and your friends and everyone youâre always telling me about. I donât want to mess that up.â
âYou wonât.â Killua doesnât recognize the look that Gon gives him, shame and apology and brief flashes of something like hope. âGon, youâre my best friend! Youâll always be part of my life. I want to spend time with you again, even if itâs not as much as it used to be. And IâŚâ
I havenât stopped thinking about you since we were kids, when we could do everything as long as we were together. I want that back. I want you back.
The admission stays locked in his throat, walled up by other realizations that threaten to cascade through even the strongest resistance. All that comes out is a quiet, âI missed you, idiot.â
Gon swallows a sob with a laugh, eyes watering and face split in a grin that hasnât changed at all, sun-bright and familiar as a punch to the face despite the freckles and to spite the years. âI missed you too, Killua.â
There isnât any way to reply to that, not with words. When they first met, before Killua got to know himself beyond blood and claws, Killua wouldnât have known how at all. Even the last time they were together, freshly scarred from wounds that still have not entirely healed, the very thought of responding would have been next to impossible. But theyâve changed, and now Killua reaches across the distance without even thinking about it, pulling Gon into a hug and not letting go. Gon lets out a huff of surprised laughter and after a long moment hugs back, arms tight around Killua and nose buried in the crook of his neck. Heâs warm, and heâs solid, and heâs here. With Killua.
Itâs not until then that Killua realizes just how much a hug is the simplest and the most complicated thing he never knew he needs, how much he missed his best friend, and it only makes Killua hold on tighter.
âYou give the best hugs, Killua,â Gon says, voice muffled from burrowing into Killuaâs shirt. Killua pretends to not notice his tears, and laughs until he is crying too.
Iâve run out a heavy rough draft on one new Charon chapter. (its kind of like write... nothing there... this doesnt work.. sit there with one sentence. then at an unrelated time OH this is what we need, oh and a little more, Then after an exhausting few hours of just writing, here is your rough draft)
Well that just lost all sentence structure and existence. Anyways its down n paper for whatever mess it is, now i can edit it ... along with a chapter 1 rewrite
