"Paradoja/Paradox"
At the most important art fair in Latin America, Zona Maco, the work of thousands of artists and the proposals of hundreds of galleries are exhibited. There are some dissident galleries and project proposals within the fair, but it is very difficult to get the chance in order to exhibit something in this space without the help of an enormous trajectory supporting the work that will be exhibited, in addition to an existing market for it and an exorbitant price. For all these previously mentioned facts, the idea came out to carry out a performance on the busiest day of the fair without the need for an invitation. The act consisted of standing motionless in a space that seemed crowded by the vast majority of the spectators of the event for the duration of sixty minutes. With the help of Diego De Gennaro, Fernanda Saval, Jerónimo Ezquerro and Fernando Solana (who passed around a total of 100 booklets to the people explaining what was happening and who also helped to promote the work and explain it to curious folks); the performance was a resounding success, as thousands of people managed to get involved and see an emerging artist doing a work on-site without anyone's permission. One of the main goals of the work was the << viralization >> of it on social media, which apparently was happening until the famous Mexican art critic, Avelina Lésper had the incredible yet completely asinine idea of breaking a piece by Gabriel Rico in the OMR gallery booth.
Using the body as a sculptural object has strange consequences; such as inciting the morbosity of any spectator.
