So my boyfriend got me a typewriter at a yard sale and I’m overly excited about making artsy Instagram posts and writing letters and sending them via snail mail and writing spur-of-the-moment poetry and alllll of that <3
It’s September and I have a good feeling about this month!
Day 1: Divination
Hello! I am going to be doing the #30DaysMagicalRootsChallenge for the month of June!
Today I am supposed to use a divination method to look at the month ahead. I chose tarot but I do not have much experience with it so if you have any additional interpretations let me know! I used the following spread I found from incandescent tarot.
Using my Hanson-Roberts deck, I drew the following and here are my interpretations:
1. Three of Cups. I am currently relaxing and taking pleasure in a job well done. I believe this is referring to the fact that I just graduated from undergrad!
2. The Star. This month will be spent looking towards a bright future that could stem from a surprising source.
3. Judgement. My main goal this month is to reflect on my experiences and put what I have learned towards a fresh start in the world.
4. Ace of Swords. This is a bit harder for me to interpret but I think the obstacle is my negative thinking. This card suggests success and my anxiety always distrusts that. I need to keep order in my life and be willing to accept what is coming to me instead of shooting myself down.
5. King of Rods. Once again pointing towards a new start, my efforts will be well received and lead to success.
6. Four of Pentacles. (Wow my deck is dragging me). I have a tendency to avoid change and cling to what I currently have. I need to avoid this and embrace the change to come instead of digging in my heels.
7. Ace of Cups. (More beginnings!) I need to embrace what is to come instead of dreading it. My cup is overflowing with opportunity so drink up!
8. The Devil + Queen of Swords. Both these cards reference moving past trauma and baggage. I think this means that I need to find support within myself. I have grown through my past experiences and can handle what comes next. It is possible that the queen refers to my mom as well.
9. Ten of Rods. I may feel stressed and burnt out now, but it will get better soon and my load will lighten.
Final Thoughts
This is only my third reading with this deck. The prior readings were to get to know it and it revealed itself to be here to patiently help me through tough love to be a better version of myself. I think this spread certainly embodies that goal. I feel great comfort hearing that all of my hard work will be paying off soon and that I am well equipped to handle it.
