Drakontos simply live unbelievably long. With lifespans upwards of 2000 years, that can border on indefinitely if they master magic over the course of their life, they're influenced by bizzare, randomly decided temperments that cause great physical discomfort if they're outside of a specific comfort zone that's more or less randomly decided at birth. The life of a Drakontos is either optimizing the place you were born in more, assuming you happened to inherit your parent's temperment, or searching for a new place, settling down with some likeminded folks, and living life there. This design is outdated, but then again, I have no ideas for where I'm going with them going forward.
