Just wanna say I really like all your feminist posts. I ship het ships a lot but I get so scared sometimes to voice it bc of allllll this hate and toxic fandom most from yaoi shippers. like why do people even do things like that?
Heya lovely! đź
Firstly, I am so sorry that you feel unsafe voicing your ships and your interests within your respective fandom. This should never be the case as people deserve to ship whoever they want without being subjected to bullshit.
As for the why, it's most likely radicalised viewpoints or extremism. The vast majority of shippers (m/f, m/m, f/f etc) are all very lovely people, but there is a small minority who take their views to the extreme. Said people are also the loudest as well. Radicalised viewpoint is fuelled by the need for power and control because if it's not their way, it's the highway and they will utilise every means necessary, including insults, threats, hiding behind minority groups, to get what they want, to perpetrate abuse. Unfortunately you cannot reason with these people, because you cannot reason with power and control. I stand by the rule that no matter what group you identify with, be it a majority group or minority, there is NEVER an excuse for abuse.
Some people, in this case those in the anime fandom, would sometimes utilise the LGBTQ+ minority group (whether they identify with it or not) to perpetrate abuse. They would try and use the excuse that they are within their rights to say or do horrible things to heterosexual shippers because they are oppressed and stigmatised (and when you call them out on it, they accuse you of being homophobic). We do not want to invalidate their oppression, stigmatisation, trauma etc. We acknowledge that. HOWEVER, that is NEVER an excuse to abuse other people. Full stop. I identify with the LGBTQ+ community and I have experienced a lot of discrimination, hardships etc but I will never utilise this to attack those who ship heterosexual ships. And like I said, no matter what group you identify with, no matter how much crap you have been through, or how bad your past experiences have been, it is not a free ticket for you to abuse other people.
I in the past have made the unfortunate mistake of engaging with someone with such extremist views. It was impossible to get through to them because they desire power and control. They will never accept that they are wrong, they will never compromise, they will never take accountability for their actions. And these people will go to extreme lengths to get what they want, to try and control the situation and to make people agree with their viewpoints (or their ships, whatever), because for them, there is only one right answer - their answer.
The most important thing I suggest you do is disengage from them. You should feel safe to talk about fun things around ships and anime without fearing abuse. I've encountered way too many (because of the vast amount of het ships that I ship) but at the end of the day, I just ignore them or I actively keep them away from my followers by deleting comments, reporting, blocking and not answering abusive asks.

Considering that I'm Tetsubara and Monokendou shipper I need to admit that I've been feed đ

Monokendou!
MHA Ship Summary #24: Monokendou
Local karate master has time on her hands ... or at least she would if her blonde idiot of a boyfriend didnât keep antagonising everyone every five seconds. At least heâs cute when heâs unconscious.
Cute!
Thanks for the suggestion! Remember ask box is OPEN for Ship Summaries and Headcannon Requests!
A Magic Trick (Neito X Itsuka Short Story)
The U.A Reunion Party was in full swing. Present Mic was manning the DJ booth, accompanied by Kyoka Jiro, who had dragged her boyfriend Denki Kaminari. Even after 10 years, Hizashi Yamada still maintained his enthusiasm and youthfulness, screaming into his loudspeakers and blasting music through the school hall, which was filled with alumni.Â
Itsuka Kendo couldnât help but crack a smile at her ex-English teacher as she looked at him doing a rock-sign gesture with both his hands. The smile continued to be etched on her face as she saw her many classmates, some whom she had lost contact with for a while, others that she remained good friends to this day.Â
âKendo!â The mouth of Setsuna Tokage greeted her. She scanned for the rest of the girlâs body, before a hand pulled her to her right, where her friends were. Yui Kodai, Reiko Tanagi, Kinoko KomoriâŚShe was surprised that she remembered her classmatesâ names.Â
They all waved and exchanged pleasantries, until Sen Kaibara noticed.Â
âWait, whereâs Neito?âÂ
Setsuna smirked and nudged Itsuka with her detached elbow. The lizard girl seemed to be taking advantage of the liberties of quirk usage in the school compound too much. âWhereâs your boyfriend, Itsuka?â
Many of her classmatesâ eyes widened at Kendoâs flushed face. âReally? You two hooked up?â Yosetsu Awase grinned. âNice.âÂ
âWhen did this occur?â Shihai Kuroiro inquired, and the rest nodded their heads in agreement, pressuring her.Â
âAfter we graduatedâŚâ Kendo was saying when she was interrupted by Kosei Tsuburabaâs triumphant whoop.Â
âPay up, bitch!â He laughed at Hiryu Rin, who groaned and slapped 2 bucks in Koseiâs gesturing palm, muttering something about, âCanât believe you remembered.â
âWe made a bet that Monoma would ask you out after our 3rd year,â He explained, then quailed under the girlsâ death glares. âUh I mean, congrats Kendo. Real happy for you.âÂ
âMight wanna give that back, Tsuburaba,â Kendo replied with a smirk. âI asked him out.âÂ
âWoah, woah, hold up.â Reiko made a time-out gesture, speaking over Koseiâs groan as he returned the money to its rightful owner. âYou asked him? We all thought the opposite.âÂ
âNope. He was way too scared, so I stepped up. Does it really matter?â Kendo said.
One second passed in collective silence. Then the whole crowd started passing cash around with defeated sighs and fist pumps.Â
âYou all made bets? Wait, even you, Shiozaki? Were we that much of a ship?â Kendo asked incredulously seeing the supposedly religious girl keep a couple of coins in her wallet. She returned a sheepish smile. âYou two looked like a cute couple.â
âWell duh, you guys spent so much time together training. I had to buy Tetsutetsu an ice cream because I said you guys would be dating by the 2nd year,â Juzo Honenuki grumbled.
âNo, that was me and Bondo,â Kaibara pointed out. Bondo gave a rumble of agreement. âWe enjoyed it very much, thanks.âÂ
Everyone chuckled at Honenukiâs misfortune, then Pony interjected, âYou still havenât answered us, Kendo. Where is he?â
Itsuka shrugged. âHe had something to do, so he told me to go ahead first.âÂ
Yui sucked in a breath as she looked behind her. âUm, ItsukaâŚâÂ
Turning around, Kendoâs face flared up at the sight of her boyfriend.Â
âYou have got to be kidding me,â She said. He was wearing a two-piece suit similar to his hero costume, but replacing his light blue tie with a velvet one. His hair was neatly combed â Itsuka could not remember any time he had done that, even when they went out on dates, and he was looking right at her and the class with a smirk. Suddenly he looked just like the Phantom Thief she fell and stayed in love with a decade ago.
Someone pushed her. Probably Setsuna, and Kendo stalked over towards him. His arm was outstretched in a gallant display. âMâlady?âÂ
âI am wearing a denim jacket and a blouse, and you show up in this.â She gestured at his attire, and then at the few eyes watching them, including a smiling Yaoyorozu Momo. âYouâre just begging to be slapped, arenât you?âÂ
âWouldnât be the first time.â He winked infuriatingly, and her face flushed red. âCome on, letâs go see our friends.âÂ
Holding hands, they went back to the table of Class 1-B students, with the wolf whistles of Awase and Kaibara heralding their arrival. People laughed and talked. The class caught up, and Itsuka nearly forgot about Monomaâs extravagant, unnecessary fashion sense until Juzo asked the question.
âSo, Neito, whatâs with the get-up?âÂ
âOh, I was planning to do some magic tricks,â Monoma said, to some oohs and aahs around.Â
Itsuka giggled. âYou mean the card tricks that failed that time?âÂ
âNo, and we will not speak of that ever again.â The reply earned a light chuckle from everyone.Â
âCome on, Monoma, show us!â Kinoko egged him on with excitement.Â
âAlright.â Neito reached into his suit pocket and pulled out a marble and placed it on his left hand. Then he rolled up his sleeves, and with both his palms open, he said, âSo, this first trick is pretty simple. Iâm making this marble disappear.â
With a flourish, he tossed the marble in the air and caught it in his right fist. Flipping it front and back, he opened it and his left palm to reveal nothing in both.
A resounding âOooh.â spread around the crowd.Â
âAlright, whose quirk did he take? Yui, was it you?â Setsuna pointed at the girl with an accusatory finger, but received a shake of her head. Monoma raised a finger silently, all mysterious-like â What else, it was Monoma, Itsuka thought with a chuckle as she watched him. Then he jerked his right fist into the air and upon miming catching a marble, he opened his left palm. Lo and behold, the marble was there.
That got some more cheers and applause, and it was beginning to attract a crowd. Some Class 1-A students approached them and were engaging the 1-B students in small conversation or watching Neitoâs show. Yaoyorozu had walked up to Itsuka to rub her head endearingly as they watched Monoma.Â
âAlright, Iâll do it one more time, watch closely.â Monoma smirked. But one trick later, no one could figure it out, and the hushed whispers had shifted to hypothesising whose quirk Monoma had used.Â
Monoma calmed the crowd down with a smile befitting an actual magician, and he definitely had the showmanship to boot. âAlright, last trick. And if I could enlist the help of my lovely girlfriend ItsukaâŚâÂ
Itsuka grumbled under her breath as a blush spread across her face. She walked up while everyone sent more cheers and wolf whistles her way.Â
âSo this last trick is pretty simple. She just has to choose which hand the marble is in. Watch closely, Ms. Kendo...â With that, he flourished his hands once more, tossing the marble from one hand to the other. Then with his closed fists, he offered them up.Â
âWhich one?â Neito asked, a smile on his face.Â
The crowd and Kendo both saw it in his right fist, and many of them shouted out the answer, while others just shouted the left hand because it was a magic trick. And Kendo figured it would be neither because it was a magic trick.
Shrugging, she tapped his left hand. âAlright, Neito, show us how you did it.â
Looking at him, she noted that despite the smile on his face, he looked nervous. It was similar to his expression at their second-year sports festival when he was up against Bakugou. A nervous smile. She liked to tease him about it.Â
Then the palm opened, and her heart skipped a beat.Â
Silence befell the crowd, until Setsuna screamed, âHOLY SHIT MONOMA YOU FUCKING MADLAD!â
It was a ring. Glimmering silver and gold. It was beautiful.
It took Kendo a split second to realise what was going on. Then her ears burned, and her blush deepened. Her legs suddenly felt like she had practiced karate kicks for an entire day non-stop. âOh my god.âÂ
Monoma knelt down as the crowd cheered even louder than before. His smile was even wider now, but he was, like her, nearing a nervous breakdown too. But he held out strong.Â
âItsuka Kendo,â He said, his voice trembling, âI have no idea how to do this properlyâŚâ That got some people laughing. âBut I know itâs really just asking one question, so...will you marry me?âÂ
The answer was already on her lips as he started speaking. She realised she was crying and laughing as she said, âYes.âÂ
The school hall exploded into deafening cheers as Monoma inserted the ring on her ring finger, and the two hugged and kissed. Itsuka laughed into his shoulders as the tears stained his suit. She could feel him shaking against her; he was probably more nerve-wracked than she was.
âThank you,â She whispered, soft enough for only him to hear.
Later, she would find out that Yaoyorozu had helped Monoma by lending him her quirk to practice creating the ring, but only after he promised her that he bought the ring, both as a reference and to ensure he wasnât, as Yaoyorozu called it, âplunging the economy into another recession.â. Todoroki had ruffled her hair affectionately as she said it in an indignant tone. Kendo laughed and embraced her friend in gratitude, while Neito expressed his thanks for helping him pull this off.Â
Class 1-B celebrated with drinks afterwards, and Vlad King had congratulated them with a gruff but approving tone, though Kendo knew her ex-form teacher was brimming with joy under the surface.Â
She was too, but was perhaps too exhilarated to take it all in. Her mind kept trying to grasp the same thought throughout the party.
She was engaged. Engaged to Neito Monoma, her high-school boyfriend. That was something. It was one hell of a magic trick.

YAYYY I finally finished it after being confident enough in dialogue. And yes this was the story idea I had referenced in my earlier post. I just needed to write another shipfic to upload to my compilation on AO3. Link for the interested, but itâs basically just the masterlist on my blog, reuploaded on AO3.Â
And, yeah Iâm only 18, this is just fantasy. And god knows Iâll never do something like this. Personally I feel young adults will talk just like teenagers if you give them the room to, especially when theyâre old classmates.Â
I hoped you enjoyed, and if you have any feedback on how to write proposals, Iâll gladly take it. Or just any feedback in general. Thank you. Iâm gonna go sleep now.Â
