When it comes to romantic/sexual relationships, Eden believes that there should be no more than a year and a half difference in age (while she’ll allow a bit more than one year, 2 is too much, hence the year and a half - with the added advantage that her January birthday makes that fairly easy to manage by simply giving herself the options of her own school year and the one either side). This partly stems from a stubbornness to change her parameters according to how old the people actually in the relationship are, and partly from the coincidence that all of the members of her family who are or have been married, married someone that close in age to them. This rule applies to everything from one-off ‘a bit more than friendly’ drunk kisses to 50 year long marriages. The only valid exception is mistletoe, because that doesn’t really count.
