The kid who plays Theo is so fucking cute omfg
I FINALLY finished the long game omggggggg
I have thoughts so many i actually can’t hold them all in
Ok but Buck and Blue should kiss
Things I think have been give too much credence:
Shane liking the secrecy around his relationship with Ilya.
Ilya eating a lot of McDonald’s (or any junk food) especially pre and post tlg.

Shane and Ilya’s reaction to shitty things being to laugh hysterically is very endearing to meeeee like couple stress relief they just start laughing
Ilya and Svetlana in the restaurant is soooo funny. I know the show is gonna have to twist it because their relationship is different but like I do like book Svetlana “That I’m a princess who should get whatever I want.”
I AGREE
I need everyone to know Ilya not telling people is literally his own fault like!!! His therapist had to coach him through it multiple times!
He is also scared of people’s reactions and possibly losing friends. Shane didn’t force this secrecy and fear onto him even if he felt that way sometimes.
Ilya is so relatable. I too feel weird at pride events because they feel preformative and also because I feel guilty for not being fully out
I have finished role model!!!! The long game last couple chapters you’re next!!!!!!

The social network is such an insane movie. Like. It’s extremely dated. It’s the most prophetic and well aged movie of the century. it's an artifact of a world that doesn't exist anymore. it's a snapshot of the world we live in now. It’s a character assassination. It’s a eulogy. It holds such fierce contempt towards its subject. It’s the most human he’s ever been. It’s the most melodramatic thing I’ve ever seen. It’s unironically a modern day Shakespearean fable. It’s about connecting the entire world. It’s about losing human connection and the people who matter to get there . The termination of Marks only friend in favour of profit symbolises the loneliness and loss of connection felt in the wake of social media and the instability of capitalism. it's about creating the largest social network in history while slowly dissolving the idea of the social itself. Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross’s score is cold and inhuman. It’s the most emotional part of the film. All of the women are reduced to background characters as a representation of misogyny in tech culture. They are the most important people in the film. It’s a film about the creation of Facebook. It’s not about Facebook at all. None of it happened. it’s all true.
