You know you're in love when you smile just from thinking about her/him. You smile even more when she/he texts you in that exact moment because you know she's/he's thinking about you too. And when you're together, nothing else really matters. Not the teenagers on the corner watching you hold hands and kiss nor the pouring rain shattering against the rooftop as you lay in bed cuddled up so close you feel as one. You know you're in love when you would do anything to make them happy even if it means not being with you. She/He becomes your best friend, someone you tell your deepest darkest secrets to without being judged. When you can't imagine life without them in it, you know you're in love. There is always A LOT of butterflies not just in your stomach but in your whole body. He/she amazes you more times than you can count. And with each amazing realization of how awesome she/he is, the more in love with them you fall. Their pain becomes your pain. Their triumphs become your victory.
