Planted these as plugs last year after cleaning a patch of the garden of any and all herbaceous greens. This was mostly creeping charlie, false strawberry, thistle and Canada golden rod. Loosely maintained the area so it didn't get overrun again by potential re-invaders. And as it turns out the plugs grew in quite well and have been able to hold their own this spring and early summer so far.
