let the people talk
pairing: dedue molinaro x gn!reader
summary: despite what people think of dedue, you still seek out his company and he can't understand why...
“you really should keep your distance from me.” dedue warned you, as you followed the duscur man with a carefree smile on your lips. “people are going to think we are a couple if you don't stop following me around.”
a little giggle escaped your lips and to dedue's surprise, you grabbed his arm, as you continued to walk beside him.
“i don't mind people believing that.” you hummed playfully, as you looked up at dedue. “i'd be more than happy to have a handsome boyfriend like you!”
rest symbol — s/t (AN1MA)
The association of music and chemically altered perception is far, far older than Spacemen 3’s 1990 Taking Drugs To Make Music To Take Drugs To, but the title of that record certainly crystallizes a particular feeling and approach. Listeners have no real indication what habits the slightly mysterious rest symbol do or do not have (outside of a description of their music as a “sticky distillate” in the Bandcamp description of rest symbol, and who knows who even wrote that), but the hazy, fractured, restless, beautifully cracked results of their work certainly suggests the music here is intended for, or at least welcomes, a level of impairment in its listeners.

bridal carrying on the battle field
pairing: dedue molinaro x gn!reader
summary: when you get injured during a mock battle, dedue is the first to come to your aid and carry you to safety!
tags: wholesome fluff, angst (due to dedue being from duscur), romantic implications, lowkey cuddling, injured!reader
dedue always insisted that you shouldn't be seen with him, a man of duscur, because it would only hurt your reputation. and yet when you got injured during the mock battle, he was the first one to rush to your aid.
you could hardly stand straight, a deep wound in your left leg, trying to stop the bleeding as you put pressure on it, while your opponent kept refusing for hitting you too hard.
in a single swift motion, dedue had picked you up before you had even noticed him, causing you to yelp surprised. suddenly he was holding you in his arms, bridal carrying you across the field and towards the infirmary.
“apologies for startling you…” dedue mumbled, as he watched his steps, trying to get you to professor manuela as quickly as he could. “i'm certain you would've prefered someone else's help, but–”
“don't say that!” you quickly cut him off, your head leaning against dedue's shoulder, the pain exhausting you. “i'm grateful you're helping me, dedue. thank you, really…”
dedue didn't reply, but you could feel his heart beat faster. he didn't need to say anything. you could already guess what was going through his head, because you were thinking the same. you were glad it was him who helped you. you weren't too thrilled about the injury, but at least it gave you the opportunity to be close to the boy you liked…
