We don’t talk enough as a fandom about the lyrics of dark times and how it fits in the vm timeline.
Remember how someone screamed “get married” and Scott said something like “not the right time” or something with time (amongst other things) which is so interesting to me because that’s actually what the lyrics in Dark Times is about “not the right time for you to fall in love with” I honestly think this exhibition is from Scott POV.
My hypothesis is that at one point Tessa just set things straight and he just shifted, something clicked. He went from “in the 5 yrs we’ve been doing these interviews I’ve been trying to pitch that” about them getting married (which honestly was his personal agenda through out almost their whole career) to just not caring about being friendzoned.
It’s funny because right after the olympics you see a shift in Tessa she just seems aloof in all the interviews when they are still in pyeonchang and ironically once she sort her thing out, Scott turned into that.
