#modular music

Is this track too weird? Please tell me. It's the answer to the question, "Can I make a track on a modern MPC with nothing but samples of a TV show taken from an old VHS tape and run through a modular synth?"

I'm not here to tell you how to live your life, but the next two weeks would be a great time to familiarize yourself with my catalog because I have a new album coming out Dec. 31 (if I don't run out of time to finish it by posting too much on social media between now and then).

In the '90s I met a chaos magician named Gary who promised to reveal the secrets of the universe to me. He sold me a floppy disk with a .txt file on it for $40, a pack of smokes, two hits of acid and a bootleg VHS copy of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Here's what I learned.

I don't advertise/promote my weirder stuff as often... But today seems like a good day to be weird. This song was created entirely in modular, and is named after a project from Second Life (remember that?). It's called Schizophrenia Simulator OST (excerpt).

It's a polarizing piece. Most people just don't click with it, but I've had a number of people tell me it's their favorite thing I've done. Honestly, the pieces that get a strong, polarized reaction are my favorite. I'd rather you love or hate something, not think it's OK.
