Today we are going to do a bit of knot magic, a very old and simple practice found across many cultures.

We are going to use it to capture the energy of the sun, now that we are in high summer, so we can preserve it for Luigi and release it for him during the trial.

You will need:

a piece of string, yarn or ribbon

a sunny day

Step one: on a sunny day upon waking make the first knot. Bonus points if you do it in the actual sunlight. In total we will tie 9 knots.

Step two: all throughout the day whenever you think of him, when you notice the sun on your skin, when you feel called to, tie the next knots. Tie the last knot at sunset.

Step three: hold the knotted ribbon between your hands and speak your intention into it. Something like: "These knots hold the warmth and energy of the sun and will bring light and strength to Luigi."

Keep the knots somewhere safe or close to your body for added energy.

When the times comes and you feel he needs it release the energy by opening a knot.

If you know a fancy special type of knot, use it! 🪢

We are going to be cutting some cords! ✂️

🧶 Cord cutting ritual 🕯️

This ritual is designed to cut the energetic cord between two people and meant to rid one person of the (possible) toxic energy of the other. Through cutting the cord, the two people loose the energetic (and other) access to eachother.

You will need:

two candles (i recommend birthday candles in two different colours representing the two)

a firesafe dish

some salt (table salt is fine)

something sharp (e.g. a needle) to carve initals into the candles

some thread, wool or similar

a lighter

optional: some rosemary

Step one: ground yourself with some deep breathing or a short meditation. Imagine a protective white light all around you.

Step two: carve the initals and other signifiers like the date of birth of the two people whose cord you are cutting into the corresponding candle. Then stick them to your firesafe dish.

Step three: make a ring of salt around the candle of the person you want to protect from the other. If you have it, add rosemary for extra protection and cleansing.

Step four: losely tie the thread around the two candles. When you're ready light both candles. Let them burn down all the way, even when the thread catches fire and it's burning very chaotically.

Step five: watch while it's burning and speak your wishes into the flames. The way the candles and the thread burn can tell you a whole story about the energies of the people involved.

Step six: you are done when everything is burned down. Say 'So mote it be' and finish the ritual.

📣 Please be aware that this is a powerful ritual, that would normally only be performed by one of the people involved or with consent by them.

🔥 Please make sure you practice firesafety, the flames can get quite volatile.
