howdy doo, i'm trans and also lower-middle class living with my parents. i 100% doubt i'll ever be able to go on hrt and have surgery so long as our finances stay the same as they are but like. does that still make me "valid" as a trans guy? like selectively non-op and financially unable to attain hrt..
The only requirement to be trans is gender dysphroia. Doesn’t matter you are or are not able to do transition wise.Â

I'd love to see someone make an actually functional map with someone hair, which is both understandable/readable and isn't too obvious. WITHOUT using a map, because it doesn't sound like slaves back in the day just got a map to use...
If you can hide a map in a butterfly who says you can’t do the same with hair?

In response to the male birth control.
20 of 320 dropped, and of that 320, only 2.5% (8) reported infertility.
"Eight participants had not recovered tomeet the criteria ofreturn to fertility after 52 weeks in recovery phase, the lastvisit according to the study protocol. These participantswerefollowed on a case by case basis until they regained normalsperm counts (n  5, up to 74 wk of recovery) or declinedfurther follow-up (n  2). One volunteer did not recoverwithin 4 years since his last injections."

Calling all men wimps because of these 20 is like saying the WBC speaks for all Christians or Isis for all Muslims. Taking the few as a representation of the many is always going to be wrong and misrepresenting the facts and is a massive fallacy.
It is like saying "we surveyed a number of people. 100% identify with the gender they were assigned at birth based on their genitals. 50% were women and 50% were men. Therefore we conclude everyone follows this model." (Oh by the way, we surveyed 2 people.)

I believe I once mad a analogy for Gender Identity and Sex. Here's a updated version. Sex is your hardware, it's the device the OS runs, Gender is a important part of the Operating System as it helps determine how the OS runs with the Hardware. Sometimes you get a OS meant for a different Hardware set and errors occur, thus alterations to fix the hardware are needed. Gender is not just a feeling and it can't be fixed with silly nounself pronouns.
It is like trying to run the AMD driver for your Nvidia geforce card. Ain’t gonna work scrub.

since some of the mods are trans too i really wanted to ask this: i have my first appointment next month where ill be able to start my path to getting t and surgery. i have dysphoria but at the same time im dead afraid transitioning is going to be the wort decision ive ever made and that ive somehow just faked it all these years and its going to ruin my life soo do you know if this is a normal thing to feel? love yall this blog is my fav
Love ya back.Â
Congrats on the appointment. When i started my hrt I was dead scared shitless. But let’s be honest. HRT helps you be more comfortable in your own skin. And since you can’t change how your brain is wired, change what you can. Yes it is scary and anxiety provoking, but you feel better for it afterwards. I wrote this for another blog I’m on, it may provide a bit more help to you.Â
I’m going in next month for my surgery consult and I agree, I’m totally scared out of my mind, but I know I’m going to be better for it once it is all over and done with. You have support, you are loved, and you are strong enough to push through.

Would it be transphobic if I am writing an alternate universe, where a canon cis character transitions to the other gender, but they realize this when they look at items that are geared towards that specific gender? (Male to female. They realize they are the opposite gender when they become interested in makeup products geared to girls) I feel it might be and I don't want to push that kind of narrative, but I know that the experience is different for those who transition. Any advice?
I’m not sure I would say say “transphobic” but tell me if I’m on the right track…
Take Phillip J. Fry from Futurama (I’ve been on a binge lately, shut up): Canonically he is cis, but in your universe she realizes she’s actually trans because of liking makeup and stuff?Â
Things you’ll have to cover:Â
In our universe Gender Dysphoria is required to be transgender. How did your alternate universe evolve differently to not require this?
Again assume Fry, does this impact Leela as love interest?Â
What defines a trans person from not trans?Â
etc…. ya know? Taking an existing character and changing a small detail is like dropping a small pebble in a lake… the initial change isn’t big, but the ripples outwards are massive.Â
It really would be better to write original material from the ground up with your own characters so you don’t have people who are fans of the original content coming in and being hella nitpicky.

Ok so it's really offensive when non-swedes try to pronounce IKEA names because they're mangling and appropriating our minority heritage and should just stay in their lane smh don't they even know that magnificent IKEA employees are murdered every day by capitalistic American rapists smh
So I should stop singing along to this?
