Today’s outfit is all modified song hanfu. Song cross collar, songku, and a beizi.

The odd thing about most hanfu and hanyuansu is that many of them are created without much regard for bodily proportions (at least to the same extent as western clothing is), as they tend to be baggy and loose fitting. They're intended to have a kind of two-dimensional effect, or at least tend to be loose-fitting enough to not give much hint of the human body.

That's the opposite with historical western clothing, where everything has to be fitted around the body. But it should be noted that although a lot of hanfu are loose-fitting, they're not always made for thin people in mind. As I said before, what they tend to do is to not give much hint of the human body, at least most hanfu do. That's one way of drawing more attention to the clothes without being skinny.

Historical western clothing isn't just more form-fitting, but also more revealing when it comes to cleavage at various points. I actually got into historical western clothing first, but hanfu and hanyuansu are things I'm more comfortable wearing. Some of them are kind of tricky to make at first, but it's something that I enjoy wearing. I guess hanfu and hanyuansu suit me more than historical western clothing.
