#modern epithets

I keep thinking, we should make a modern epithet for Apollon and his role in mental health/therapy. Unfortunately I cannot find an Ancient Greek equivalent to the word ‘therapist’, so I’ve used modern Greek.

I turned to Aphrodite for help a few weeks ago. I told her all about this unrequited crush I’ve been holding for months, a crush that had gotten quite painful and was affecting my mental health and my friendships, and I asked for her assistance in please letting go of this crush and moving past it, finding the ability to love myself enough to heal from the wounds I’d given myself over it, and be able to return to being a good and supportive friend.

Idk if this is weird but I thought I’d share a moniker I gave Hermes today after much help from Him. Hermes of the green light! Everytime I’m stuck at a red light recently ive asked for His help and He has turned the light green and I can practically see him laughing at the relief on my face! Just thought I’d share bc I have no one to talk about the Gods to irl! Do you have any names you call the Gods?

I have such a need to keep my blog organized w my tags cuz personally I just like to have things organized for myself which is unrelated lol but anyway so occasionally I’ll go and tag something that reminded me of one god like Aphrodite or Apollo etc and I’ll get Hermes popping up like “ooh tag me too!!” And I’m like “but it didn’t make me think of you???” And he’ll be like “or did it? *wiggles eyebrows*” and then proceed to whine about how he wanted to be tagged in it until I do he’s so cute😂
