Imagine modern!au where Jaskier is a journalist for a website about folk music and Geralt - a journalist for a website about music in general. They both go to a concert of their town’s band and then give their reviews. Jaskier gets so angry bc Geralt was really negative about it. In the band is an old friend of Jaskier - Essi - so he feels obliged to defend her bands honour and also bc he finds their music really good. So he ends up writing a really long comment on Geralt’s page about how rude of him it was to be so negative. At first Geralt ignored the comment but somehow he cannot stand that he was called out and feels like he has to respond. So because he is a man of few words he just replies “That’s my opinion” and goes to bed. Of course he has the right to think this way but Jaskier still isn’t satisfied (in fact he’s kinda furious). He wants to show Geralt that he cannot just say his opinion in such a rude way. So because Jaskier is Jaskier, he dm’s Geralt Facebook page the next day and explains himself. [He also gives Geralt a long tirade but he doesn’t care]. Again - Geralt tries not to pay attention to it (well, he doesn’t know this man so why should he care?) but he still ends up replying a short message and thinks that with that Jaskier (who introduced himself as Julian) would shut up. But we all know that this is not gonna happen. So Jaskier sends him another song of Essi’s band and convince him to listen to it. Not so eager at all, Geralt does what he was asked to and ends up liking the song a little bit more that the ones that were played during the concert. He sends Jaskier his honest (and short, like 3 words) review. Jaskier is a little happier now that Geralt has changed his mind a little bit and thanks him a lot. He sends him some more songs in a similar style and wishes him good night. Geralt feels like he has to do the same so he ends up sending Jaskier a few songs of his choice. Without their noticing - they talk for days about music and discuse their feelings about it. But it wasn’t the end. Days past and they “meet” again at another concert but this time - Jaskier is the performer. Geralt with his brothers goes there bc it’s a big event in their town and they know that many people would like to get a small review about it. He doesn’t know that Jaskier the performer is Julian who messaged him days ago but he knows one thing - he’s a damn good singer.

once a month you have geralt and yennifer over for movie night and it always turns out to be hilarious "i'm picking the movie this time!" jaskier practically cheered to himself as he jumped up from the couch to find a film. Geralt grunted throwing his head backwards. "Not again... If you put on a disney movie or a rom com once again, i swear to god i'll kill you"

he is confident af but sometimes he just needs to be held and told how amazing he really is

he probably has notebooks full of songs, ballads and stories just about you

him calling you his muse. and sweetheart and darling and love and dove and every tooth-rotting sweet nickname he can find

he sometimes leaves for a few days to accompany geralt on his big foot hunts. jask does not believe in any of those urban creatures geralt is looking for but "hey, this could make a good song." and also "he has booze" and of course "it's a great adventure!"
