((ooh okay, i don’t have a lot of feelings about the mulberry boy so i’ll do jack!
favorite thing about them: jack merridew’s an asshole twelve-year-old accidental cult leader and he either does not realize it, or is very unapologetic about it. in either case, i love me a good asshole character
least favorite thing: i also hate him precisely because he’s such an entitled asshole child. one could say i have a love-hate relationship with him

nOTP: i… don’t have a lot of nOTPs in general, so i don’t have one with jack in it. if i have to choose, maybe (both aged up) jack/any of the littluns? i haven’t seen any of those ships going around, but in general i don’t see jack dating people too much younger than himself because he doesn’t want to deal with anyone’s immaturity (ironic, considering i hc grown-up jack as one of the most emotionally immature people on god’s green earth)

unpopular opinion: i don’t think i have any? the fandom analyzes jack pretty well. we tend to make jack too hot, idk. i always see him as the type of character to be attractive more because of his passion and charisma than his looks.
also idk if this other opinion (or more like analysis??) is unpopular or not but, jack, the character, led a cult of personality and is a really well-portrayed example of the style of (essentially) white supremacy-based and fearmongering leadership that’s brought on the rise of similar real-life dictators/dictators in the making (*cough*trumpet*cough*) god, talk to me about the parallels of lotf and modern day politics and i’ll never shut up
