Hi, this is my build for the Rabelo Boat @1:75 scale this is a traditional boat from my home town that used to bring the oporto wine from the hills to the cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia,now a days they aren’t used as the travel was very dangerous, but if you visit Gaia or Porto o can still see them on the Margins of Rio Douro. But let’s go to the build. This model belongs to a Portuguese company that went broke unfortunately so is very rare to find this models.
This is presented in 3 plastic sprues composed by Hull, barrels and all the other bits needed for the build. The only downside that I can find with this model is the sail, it comes formed in plastic in vacform.
And managed to obtain this effect
To do the Barrels have used strips of 1mm paper painted in grey and glued 6 on each barrel on a total of 32. The plastic bucket that came with the model didn’t pleased me so decided to make one from scratch.

Decided to do a cloth sail, used whit cloth and dipped in black tea, yo do the image used the t-shirt transfer paper
The tools and the food. Salted codfish and smoked pork leg,that goes by the name of Presunto,
And the final result, you can see the ladder and the row paddles tied to the barrels.
