Question of the day: “What advice would you give an aspiring model ?” My Answer: I’m going to answer this based on my personal experience because I wouldn’t consider myself the typical “model”. I did not go the route of agencies, I did in the past in Chicago & honestly I don’t like being controlled by someone & having them run my entire life & Instagram etc.. that’s when a hobby turns into a job & that’s not really what I wanted. My advice for being a freelance model would be to be very picky on who you work with. If you don’t think someone can benefit you, then don’t “feel bad” & work with them anyways. I would also say work in public places until you actually know a photographer or at least message other models to see how they are. I play by this rule of thumb too, if it’s too good to be true, it probably is.
