Cross posting it here cause I talk about this a bit more freely over here, but this person is fully making a mountain out of a fcking molehill.
A creator and their friend released this mod
Which is a gorgeous hairstyle mod!! We don't have many POC hairstyle mods, so having another option is wonderful. AND IT'S FREE!! But only the hair is only on HAMV, and so no Hroth, Elezen or Lalafell. This was probably because Hyur, Miqo'te, Viera, and Au Ru are the most used races and the creators only did those due to lack of time/energy/resources.
But this Aurora person starts to GO OFF on them and imply they're the misogynoir and it's like...what?
And the kicker? One of the creators is a queer black woman and the hair is inspired by her own fcking hair and how she wears it.
I understand being frustrated about there being a lack of POC options in the modding scene and I understand being annoyed at there being less options for fem Elezen. (Her talking about the irl stuff is completely valid, that I'm not arguing against at all!) But going out of your way to cause all of this drama and try to publicly shame the creators because they didn't include your fantasy race of choice is...a bit of an overreaction to be honest. All she had to ask was "Any plans of adding other races in the future?" or "Is anyone else planning on porting this hair to other races?". There was no need to go onto this massive diatribe and rile everyone up.
And now one of the creators, whom I personally know, is super upset that this mod release, which was supposed to be for her fellow POC players in our community is now embroiled in this unnecessary drama because of this person. This person also has a BIG following in the modding community (over 1k) so of course everyone is now in it.
EDIT: As I was writing this, someone already ported the hair to fem Elezen. The creators of the mod are both pretty popular, and usually their stuff gets ported within a week. This person only had to WAIT A GD SECOND and they would have had it on the race they like.
