Vintage Cat Stickers
If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times and I'll say it a thousand more: I would give someone's left arm for an amicable divorce mod.
I have a mod that makes romantic interactions like "ask if single" and "ask sign" friendly interactions instead. So unless I'm severely underestimating how hard it is to change interaction categories like that, wouldn't it be great if divorce could be a friendly interaction too?
Although I guess what I would really want is two divorce types -- the mean one we already have for ugly divorces, and a new friendly one for amicable divorces. Not every marriage needs to end in flames with each person hating the other's guts for daring to continue drawing breath in their vicinity. Sometimes you want your exes to be friends. It would just be nice to choose which type you want.
I know there's already workarounds like using the relationship transmogrifier or changing relationships in MC, but those don't have the same effect I'd like. I'd want the divorced Sims to still show in the family tree and on the relationship panel as ex partners.
Idk, I don't know how to make mods so for all I know, this is impossible. I feel like if it could be done, it would have been done by now but I've said that about a few things that just happened to be made recently. I will continue to wish for it until the day it exists. Or forever. Whichever comes first.
South Asian Representation We’d Like to See
@murdergirlfriend said:
I'd like to ask the south asian/Indian people of WWC what kinds of south asian & Indian characters would you like to see more of?
Marika
As a South Asian:
Brahmin characters are overused to depict Hindus, particularly devout Hindus. I’d like to have more well-researched stories about individuals from other castes.
In general, Hindus and Indians overall are over-represented in Western fiction. I’d like to hear about people from other religions and countries within the subcontinent.
Fleshed out characters with properly researched family backgrounds appropriately placed within the region’s history.
South Asian characters involved in narratives that acknowledge oppression, poverty, colonization and ethnic/ religious/ identity politics, but aren’t fixated on these tensions. This might be more of an OwnStories thing simply because I imagine many non-South Asians would find this balance hard to strike.
As a diaspora South Asian:
Stories without ABCD angst. We get it. People like to hear about how hard it is to be an immigrant from a weird country with a funny last name, and funny smelling food. I want more stories about desis who get joy and fulfillment from their identity. I want to hear more hopeful, coming of age stories from people empowered through engagement with their heritage.
I want more stories about ABCD pan-South Asian solidarity. I was not raised in a Brahmin enclave like many Hindu Brahmins in the US. After 9/11, when being brown was not fun, my Pakistani, Sikh and Sri Lankan friends and I mutually supported each other. We benefited immensely from not fighting our parents’ wars, and to this day, they understand me better than Brahmins back home.
SK
I would like to see characters whose identities as South Asians have more depth. Like Marika, I want to see South Asian characters who don’t view their identity as a burden. I’d also like to see realistic fiction stories of South Asians that don’t revolve around romance and arranged marriage.
For Sikh characters, I’d like to see Sikhs that aren’t Punjabi. Give me a story about an Afghan Sikh or a Nepali Sikh. I’d also like to see stories that don’t conflate Punjabi culture and Sikhi. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an initiated Sikh in the media. And I want to see women in turbans with swords!
Jaya
I want more fantasy stories where we aren’t there to react to broken systems. Most of the time, South Asians are side characters who exist as a token. Instead, I wish we were more flawed, that we are allowed to grow and change. Connie in Steven Universe felt refreshing because it was a relief to see an Indian kid with pushy parents but could wield a sword and train with holograms.
I wish it was possible to make Simzlink, Plumbros, adeepindigos healthcare redux, dental, and eyecare services for Sims 2. That would be a dream

My Sims 3 Functional Mods Wish List
Do any modders out there want to make my dream come true? Or if you know where the below actually exists and I just missed it. But these are the only features missing from the game to make it perfect in my opinion.
Juicer - an appliance that you can add harvestable fruit to and make fresh smoothies/juices that give positive moodlets. Banana strawberry breakfast smoothie anyone? Perhaps orange juice or lemonade that give boost against common cold? Think Sims 2 had something similar, and sims 4 had a mod thats now outdated but I so badly want it in Sims 3. Don't know if the lemonade stand could be modded into a counter appliance that kids & up can use, and accepts all harvestables. Or maybe the bar custom mix function but non alcoholic?
Functional Tennis. Feel like the animations from table tennis can be reused, even if they just find a way to make the table invisible and have just a floor marker and disable the juice pong interactions? Something similar to what @aroundthesims did with her awesome invisible roller skating rink. Sigh... my rich sims just so badly want to play tennis at the country club.
Harvestable roast & lamb plant (modded to look like a chicken/turkey & sheep).. @danjaley created harvestable pork from a pig looking plant & @mspoodle1 has chicken plant that gives eggs so why not? Would be a great addition to my farm. Don't just want decor animals..but want them to add new function to the game.
Jamaican/Caribbean custom food recipes & harvestable plants - patties, rice & peas, Ackee (plant) & salt fish, jerk chicken, pineapple, papaya, avocadoes, yams, fruit cake, oxtail, chicken soup etc. @icy-spicy-scalpel has some great ones for sims 4 and I'm so jealous.
Cruise ship resort houseboat. Not really a mod. But I've been searching for a houseboat built in the shape of a cruise ship that I can turn into a full 5 star resort lot. I know @potato-ballad-sims has a cruise ship world which I think is just awesome. But I just want a smaller one houseboat lot that I can plop down in any world I'm playing as the resort lot.
Social Media influencer career. Could have branches for gamer, beauty, comedy & lifestyle? Don't really know what the levels would look like, but would be awesome if it integrated the social networking skill from UL. As well as the hidden video gaming skill if that path is chosen, plus general charisma and celebrity skills? I know @missy-hissy has an awesome tutorial on making careers but sigh... I'm daunted to even try.
What is your wishlist for functional mods? Who knows, our dreams may just come true!
Ps: Thanks to all the modders who work so hard to make the Sims 3 really come to life. My game play wouldn't be the same without your awesome creations!!
One thing I find myself wishing when playing Fallout is that the food and drink effects were just a little more realistic. Like, it’s hilarious to me that you can chug two bottles of vodka and all that happens is that your intelligence goes down and strength temporarily goes up, or whatever. It knocks some points off your agility but I feel like it should definitely make you noticeably drunk, ya know? Cuz who the hell can drink a whole case of whiskey and a) survive and/or b) only get a little clumsier and more charismatic? Like, after even a fifth of whiskey to myself, I know I would not be able to form what most people think of as actual sentences anymore, or like, walk, and I feel like this could easily be simulated in game...exponentially decreasing agility, blurred vision, throw in a few hilarious speech checks, ya know? Effects could even vary based on character build or perks or something! Same but different with Nuka Cola or Sunset Sarsaparilla or what have you. Like, sure, you can pound down 16 bottles of it when you’re out of Stimpaks, but you’re also most probably gonna want to hurl afterwards -- there has to be some kind of way of simulating the fact that it’s generally not a good idea for a living being to drink that much soda in one go...I mean, the sugar crash alone... Yeah, anyway, I think more realistic food/drink interactions would not only be amusing but also more immersive and it always sorta confounds me when I can bump my character’s HP by taking a bunch of RadX and then eating 50 cartons of Blamco Mac’n’Cheese 😆
