Mod note: Sorry we’ve been kind of absent lately. Mod Yuuri and I just started college again and we’ve been a bit preoccupied. I’ve been in marching band camp all week so let’s just say that I’ve been inspired.

- Yuuri is an unsuspecting Trumpet Performance Major that somehow got roped into doing marching band. 

- When Yuuri first arrives at the university his first stop after he gets settled in is a practice room on the relatively silent top floor of the music building. He goes through his normal practice routine, lip slurs, fingering patterns, scales before moving onto a heartbreaking lyrical solo that he had been practicing. He hadn’t expected to be heard. 

- Victor is there running leadership camp a few days before the rest of the band arrives but decides to wind down a bit by practicing. He’s surprised to find a phenomenal trumpet player practicing in his favorite practice room. He just knows Yuuri has to be his trumpet soloist for their upcoming show so he introduces himself and asks him if he’s interested in joining the marching band.

Summary: Yuuri and Viktor aren’t dating. Sure, they’re living together, and they’re affectionate, and there are those rings, but they are most definitely not romantically involved. Nope.

He is Yuuri’s TA and client and landlord all rolled into one; there’s no way Yuuri would dare to date him. That would be a recipe for disaster and they both know it. Even if this isn’t dating, whatever it is, it’s already too late to turn back.
