This is aphobia. And honestly I believe it comes from people not even trying to explore our identities and our experiences, or even recognize that it is there to begin with. It is way easier to just make a headcannon and forget about the original intention and go to the same allo shipping you have done for every single character. But people are aware about this kind of erasure in more known groups inside the LGBTQIA+ community, and question headcannons that can fall on that. And that is great, but everyone should be more aware about this happening to Aspecs characters too! Specially with how often it occurs. -Minesweeper

This is aphobia and arophobia. It is very hard to understand what you are feeling when amatonormativity is always pushing you to say it is romance if it is about your connection to someone, specially if it brings you joy. And it sucks when it is not only social expectations, but actually someone who assecures you must be feeling romance to them. It sucks twice when people do not believe your experiences with it. I hope that in the future more people are aware about aromanticism, and that brings the possibility of more people to struggle less to figure out what they are (not) feeling. -Minesweeper

This is internalized arophobia. As someone who is aro who ships too, I can say that exact feeling is somethin I have felt too. But people can imagine characters feelings and interactions in all kind of ways they haven't experienced or want to feel, and it shouldn't be different for aspecs who do so -Mod Minesweeper
