Hey, all! This will probably be the last update post before roster release. We’re getting everything finalized, and we’re pleased to announce that we’ll most likely be able to reach our soft deadline! Unfortunately it doesn’t look like we’re going to be able to push the deadline up, but we shouldn’t have to delay it, either.

The roster will be released on December 7th at 7:30 PM EST! We’ll be posting roster art as well as unveiling the cast page.

I should note one thing, though - we got a lot of apps. More than we were expecting. as a result, not everyone got in. While we know that some of the people who applied may not be used to dr rp, or this may be their first experience with it, we expect everyone who applied to maintain proper etiquette when the roster releases.

If you harass one or more of the mods about not getting in, whether it be through this blog, dms, or other social media, you will be blacklisted from a potential Turnabout sequel if we decide to do one. the roster is final. we will NOT be adding any characters after the roster is posted, it doesn’t matter who you are. please be respectful of the mods and of the players who get in.

Hi, everyone! Sorry for the silence lately, we’ve been hard at work with roster art and with planning aspects of the story/prologue posts ahead of time. Mod Ron is doing an amazing job with the roster icons, and we’re all very excited to be able to release the roster in the near future!

We’ve set a soft deadline of Friday, December 7th as a roster release date. By this, we mean that the roster will be released on December 7th at the latest - if we finish the roster art before then, we will bump up the roster release to be sooner. For this reason, we also have not decided a specific time of day, but it will likely be sometime in the evening, EST. Once the art is complete, we will release a finalized date, but expect it within 2 weeks.

With that, submissions are now officially CLOSED! Characters submitted past this point will not be considered for the roster. We thank you all so much for your continued investment in Turnabout Despair! 

We don’t have a planned date set for roster release yet, since we have to plan a roster, make art, etc. We’ll definitely let you all know when it’s going to be released! Please give us some time, though, and don’t pressure the mods. Remember: every time you ask when roster release is, it makes it so the roster release comes out later.

Hello, everyone! Mod Maggey here with an important announcement!

We know we’ve been vague with details on when apps are opening, and some of you have been wondering when you’ll be able to send in your apps. Well, wonder no more! Our applications will be opening on Saturday, 10/6 at 12:00 PM EST! (or whatever time it is in your timezone at that point) From then on, we’ll be accepting both player and artist apps for consideration. 

App closing dates have not been decided, but we’re aiming for some time in early/mid November with no extensions unless a lot of people request them. 

Hello all! The outpouring of support for Turnabout Despair from all you guys has been astounding, and we appreciate it very much! We’re looking forward to getting more apps and eventually setting the rp itself up. 

This post is to announce that we’ve finally picked a date for apps to close: November 10, at 12:00 AM EST! You have three weeks to work on, finish, and submit your apps to the blog to be considered for the Turnabout Despair roster. 

We’ve decided we will be offering extensions to those who need them, and those will be due by November 13 at 12:00 AM EST.

In general, people don’t like to have their OCs compared to something else, because like... they’re their own exisiting piece of media. People worked hard on their OCs and they are not just copies of existing charas. Similarities exist, even in the professional world. 

we’re all pretty busy, so we won’t be doing individual app reviews.
