We are updating our rules post and hopefully that will clarify your answer a bit, but we are a bit loose about "first." It does not have to be the first time codywan has kissed but it needs to be the first time they have shared THAT type of kiss (referring to the prompt). They can have multiple different types of first kisses in one fic as long as every kiss has its own 100 word scene. 1 prompt always equals 1 kiss.

Last year's #CWFKB2023 had lots of fills where the fill (usually stories, but we had wonderful art) had a first "messy" kiss, followed by a first "hesitant" kiss, all wrapped up with a a first "bold" kiss. Each kiss ought to be clear as to what bingo prompt it relates to, but you can definitely have a series of kisses that are all codywan's first of that type.

We love when our participants get creative with their "firsts". We have answered another ask that might help illuminate this as well.

All works must be created with the bingo in mind. If you created it before the bingo then it does not count. This event has a long creation period and fewer prompts in order to make this rule as easy as possible to follow.

Hiya @mouseinamushroomhouse! Any kiss depicted in an art fill is automatically assumed to be a first kiss! If you want to provide more context and let the viewers into the world you've drawn then you can absolutely write up a summary or description of the scene! Hope this helps.

In the rules u guys said “Get as creative with your kisses as you want but they MUST BE A FIRST KISS between Obi-Wan and Cody in some capacity”

Im just wondering, does this mean the first kiss in their relationship or just in the fic? Sorry, English is not my first language and I just wanna make sure I understand 😅 because right now in my fic I wrote it so that Cody & Obi-Wan have an established (but “fresh”) relationship so I just wanted to make sure that was okay

We're open to people playing with and twisting the concept of "first" but generally we want the kiss prompt you're filling to be the first kiss they've shared of that variety. It does not have to be the first kiss they've ever shared, but it does have to quantify as a first in their relationship. We would like an emphasis it being a first. If the kiss is only a first because it's the first time they kiss on the page, that would not count; HOWEVER, it probably wouldn't be hard to edit it to make it a first kiss by our parameters!

Here are some examples of ways you can fill prompts:

Celebratory kiss - Obi-Wan and Cody have kissed many times over the course of the war but when news hits that the Separatists have officially waved the white flag, Obi-Wan and Cody share their first kiss of freedom amidst the cheering of their troops.

Chaste kiss - Following an explosion resulting in head trauma, Obi-Wan is cleared by the medics and everything seems well and fine until he retreats to his quarters only to find it a shared living space with his Commander--lived in with his armor and weaponry and even more piles of flimsi and datapads--who greets him with a kiss. Obi-Wan has no memory of ever cohabitating with Cody and, until now, they'd never kissed before. However right it feels, however the Force hums with familiarity and ease, something isn't right. [ Wherein Obi-Wan has an amnesia fueled first kiss while, for Cody, this is just a regular Benduday ]

Goodnight kiss - On Tatooine, Obi-Wan and Cody have slowly been overcoming rocky hurdles in rebuilding their relationship, learning to love anew out of the ashes of all they lost. Things have been slow-going. A kiss on the cheek here and there, a hand reaching to steady a shoulder as they pass in the kitchen, stares that linger with all that still remains unsaid. Sharing the singular lumpy bed one night, Cody kisses Obi-Wan's lips softly before uttering, "Goodnight." Obi-Wan hopes Cody will kiss him like that again every night for the rest of their days.

All entries to the first kiss bingo must be new works. That means no adding chapters to previously posted works but you may add a work to a previously established series. If you have written a multi chapter fic for the bingo, you do not have to complete the entire fic by the time of posting if you have finished and posted the section that qualifies as a bingo fill (AKA The First Kiss). You can put multiple fills in one singular fic as each fill only needs to be a minimum of 100 words (though keep in mind that each fill must still be an individual first kiss); in fact, two of our mods will be filling in their bingo cards this way!

Hello @elismor! The free space is simply a "make up your own prompt" space so, yep, you can swap it with another prompt on your card. Just remember you can only swap prompts once so choose wisely!
