So can people with ADHD stim? I don't really understand completely what stimming is and the internet so far has been of no help explaining it in detail. Thanks!
Yep we sure can! So can neurotypical people, as far as I know. It’s just something physically or mentally stimulating to keep you either busy or focused.
It’s not adhd exclusive, a lot of people with different disorders or even NTs find it helpful! (Think, like how fidget cubes can help productivity with some people, esp w adhd!)
Some stims are more noticeable (like leg shaking, getting up to walk around, etc.) but some stims are less noticeable (like biting nails, drawing, tapping pens, playing mindless phone games, listening to music, etc.)
