I have a question! What happens if no one claims a writer's fic? (that's always my fear with bang events!) I would likely write a non-Hollanov fic for this, and I am nervous that all the artists will only want to draw Hollanov (which I totally understand haha). Is there going to be a system in place to make sure that no writers are left out? Thanks!!!!!!!
Hey there, that's absolutely a fair question, and honestly the same one I always have myself when I am planning a fic for a bang. In terms of systems in place to help ensure that no writers are left out, we will be conducting artist and beta claims in multiple rounds to help allow for additional fics to be picked that may not have been grabbed in the first round, as well as ensuring that when we are reaching out to blogs about this event we are looking at the broader Game Changers tumblr and not simply Hollanov specific blogs. It may also be good to remember that many people may be creating what there is a current demand for, and would love the opportunity to create non Hollanov art!
From personal experience moderating both @tmabigbang and @podcastbigbang (which was actually a multi-fandom event) I have never seen a fic not get claimed by at least one artist. I also checked with my friend @shelbychild who has been helping moderate the Batfam Big Bang for five years now and they do not recall ever having a fic not be claimed either, and Mod Grey says they have never had a fic not get claimed in any big bangs they ran either!
There have definitely been times when some fics had more artists than others, but every fic has always had at least one artist, and usually two. I hope this helps, and please feel free to reach out if you have any other questions!
