For this week’s #superfriendssunday, I’ve had the joy of hosting Jazz Week! I’ve done a week of jazz albums leading up to it, and I’ve saved the biggest artist in my heart for today… I’m hardly unique in my love for Miles Davis, but hey, when fans are right they’re right! Miles is the artist who kicked off my latest and still-ongoing jazz obsession about six years ago, and specifically it was his electric period. In a Silent Way, Bitches Brew, Jack Johnson, and the Fillmore set are sacred texts, perfect in every planned and unplanned note. My In a Silent Way and Jack Johnson copies are #mobilefidelity pressings, two of the best-sounding (and most valuable!) records I own.
