Basically here the reasons why I see Skylar Storm as a lesbian.
Most of the time, Skylar has show like ZERO interest in Oliver. And just men in general, it doesnât seem like she is into guys at all.
Sk*liver does have its sweet moments donât get me wrong. From what I've seen in MM, they can be cute at times and I can see myself shipping them. But for the most part, Skylar is not into Oliver like at all. And the one time she does, itâs because Bree, aka another pretty girl, is crushing on Oliver.
So basically itâs like Skylar misses the attention Oliver gave her, not Oliver himself. And also the fact that she could most likely have feelings for Bree and is jealous of seeing her with Oliver. But admitting that would equal coming out, and Skylar probably wasnât ready to admit that to herself.
Like literally right after Skylar sabotaged Broliver, she went straight back to not liking Oliver and being like ânopeâ. It was never that she was into Oliver himself. She just missed the attention he was giving her.
Even in EF when Skylar âadmitsâ to liking Oliver, it seems like sheâs just tired of him constantly pestering her. Also she thinks Bree is straight so she settles for the safe choice aka Oliver, the guy obsessed with her.

It's about how Khatha finally found someone who he could trust, who could be at his side, who could ease his loneliness and how Chan healed Boon against his advice and then Boon took him from his side.
It's about Khatha staring at him as Boon stood between them and Chan made no move towards, no motion, no change, because Chan was accepted and so he assumed there was no problem with accepting Khatha as well.
It's about Chan being the acceptable kind of freak and Khatha being the unacceptable kind and Chan not seeing that because all he sees is how Boon accepted him and the people worshiped him and not how Khatha was kept from him.
It's about how Chan wanted to be free to be himself and he can be but he would also have to be the one to pull Khatha up with him but did not because he did not see his rejection.
It's about how Khatha called Chan a freak out of hurt and desperate loneliness and the loss of the one person close to him and how he hurt Chan but also how he lost the one person he'd gained not just to his comments but to Boon and the caste system in a way Chan never seemed to understand.
It's about how Chan's freedom was still Khatha's chains but how Khatha's chance at freedom brought Chan's death.
It's about how Khatha just wanted Chan back at his side because without him he had no one and he lost him to that desire but also how Chan left Khatha behind when he was brought up and how Boon stood between them, created a wall between them that neither of them could get over.
It's about how what each of them saw as freedom the other saw as jail.
Eventually Iâm gonna do a meta about how my three main MM ladies (Leila, Alex and Haven) approach clothes and fashion as abuse survivors but today is not that day
Like I wonder if Tony and Leilaâs friendship is partly based on the fact that theyâre both like that, they both do what they do because theyâre running on bone-deep fear and trauma and they want to stop feeling afraid and they think if they can reach their goals they can finally achieve that. And they recognize that in each other, on some level.Â
And I think Leila covets the fact that Tony manages to do it without being a villain. And I think Tony covets the fact that Leila has a concrete goal, something that she can do one time and then be done and live without terror running through her veins at all times.Â
Of course, both Leila and Tony are incorrect. Leilaâs objective is not going to âfixâ her, just like none of Tonyâs projects are going to âfixâ him. Thereâs no one-time easy solution that can take the pain and terror away. They have to actually interrogate their traumas and deal with them.Â
Neither of them are ready to do that yet, but they feel a little stronger, standing at each otherâs sides.Â

considering that /i/ can get a headache from going to bath and bodyworks, matt absolutely does. a shop concentrated with artificial aromas and people constantly using the testers? terrible time, 0/10 do not recommend.
i think whenever matt is at a mall that includes a b&b he stays clear of that strip entirely.

Leila having a hard time adjusting to life without that ultimate goal; it was her sole focus for so many years, and she doesnât know what to do without it.Â
âI had the shiniest wheels, now theyâre rustingâ
Leilaâs drive is just...completely shot now that she doesnât know what sheâs living for. Before this she was miserable but at least she was working towards something. Her wheels are rusting as she becomes stagnant, a feeling intensified by how sheâs been benched as an Avenger and put in an administrative role, not allowed to actually be in the field.Â
âI didnât know if youâd care if I came back
I have a lot of regrets about thatâ
Leila not being sure if Steve, or her team, really cares about her (because, she thinks, why would they?) And her sort of receding from the team, not showing up to training sessions (because whatâs the point, sheâs not in the field with them).Â
But also, thereâs a plot point where Leila struggles with alcohol addiction (and possibly opioids) and I see her as the kind of pre-addict that acts totally normal at first and then very suddenly drops off the face of the Earth for three days, and Steve (with some help) has to go find her.Â
So âI didnât know if youâd care if I came backâ could be about that experience: her dropping off the face of the Earth in her own misery and not contacting anyone because sheâs not convinced anyone actually cares about her.Â

Couldâve followed my fears all the way downâ
As bad as things get, with Leila following her fears, it could be worse.Â
âAnd maybe I donât quite know what to say

Leila not really knowing how to address Steve or what happened with her leaving.Â

Self-explanatory. Leila wanting him to know that as bad as things are she is trying.Â

Leila feels like sheâs trapped by her own past, like she doesnât have a choice, whereas people (namely Daniel Li) are telling her she can still have a life and get help even if she canât erase what happened to her.Â

The addiction problem

I have a lot of regrets about thatâ
Leila lashing out and and not knowing how to manage her anger because she doesnât have that outlet of âsomeday this wonât matterâ anymore.Â

Fell behind all my classmates and I ended up hereâ
So âahead of the curveâ here refers to Leila having distanced herself from the Avengers (her âclassmatesâ) and how it has sort of backfired now because she feels like she has no one to rely on.Â

But I didnât pour the whiskeyâ
I could see Leila and Steve getting into a fight and her going to a bar but then not drinking anything because even though theyâre fighting she promised Steve sheâd try to stay sober.Â
âI just wanted you to know
That this is me tryingâ
This time these lines are a direct continuation of the above; Leila still went to the bar, but she didnât drink anything. She still lashed out, but she came back after and apologized. Sheâs trying.Â
âAnd itâs hard to be at a party when I feel like an open woundâ
I headcanon that pre-AoU there are a lot of public events that the Avengers have to go to and parties Tony throws for publicity purposes now that theyâre working on a long-term project (taking down Hydra).Â
Leila has trouble at those parties, partly because of the alcohol and partly because of this sensation of being alone in a crowded room.Â

Leila feeling more comfortable with Steve than anyone else, even Tony (which is saying a lot).Â
âYouâre a flashback on a film reel on the one screen in my townâ
Leila kind of mourning their previous friendship pre-C:SW and wondering where theyâd be if they hadnât ruined it. âThe one screen in my townâ refers to Leila herself and how sheâs not prone to that kind of reminiscing but something about Steve brings it out in her.
ive mentioned before that i like the odaat quote âyouâre my soulmate but heâs my other halfâ for snowcap vs leila&tony and i still do but the more i think about it the more i think tony is actually leilaâs soulmate and steve is her other half
leila and steve chose each other, it took a lot of work and growth and development to get to where they end up. theyâre the perfect team, but it took a lot to get them to that point.Â
none of that exists with tony. they hit it off immediately and have only ever gotten closer since then. they vibrate on the same wavelength, they understand each other, they always have. leilaâs friendship with tony is the one thing thatâs come easily to her in her life, the one thing she didnât have to work for.Â
tony is leilaâs soulmate, they were born from the same star and destined to be in each otherâs lives. steve is leilaâs other half, her chosen partner in all things.Â
