You tag your posts as MM, so are you doing MM and still not gaining any weight? Or are you just struggling with your MM intake? (sorry if this is invasive you don't have to answer). I hope you're well- keep fighting- you will beat this.
No it's a perfectly valid question. I probably should stop tagging my posts with that, or just create a new tag because I don't want to mislead people. I am doing my own adaptation of MM guidelines. I'm trying to eat what I want, when I want it, but not counting. So some days I might hit 2,500, others I might not. Clearly I haven't hit it enough times this week. But I'm trying, I really am.

What are the benefits of MM? :)
My personal (though short) experience with it was great. You are facing something your ED is afraid of head on. Personally, my levels of guilt after eating according to the MM guidelines (during my two months or so of recovery) were either non-existent or seemed trivial. It may have just been the ‘honeymoon’ stage of recovery, but there were physical benefits eating “normally” didn’t offer. I was very energized, relaxed, and cheerful during this period. MM is excellent at treating and loosening the rigid rules of an eating disorder. If I had not let myself experience it at all, it’s likely I would have relapsed within a week of trying to recover. I wasn’t under supervision so my ED became uncomfortable with MM after being weight restored. This is why having a therapist and nutritionist is important.
I gained weight eating "intuitively" (usually under-eating) and restricting when I let my ED in. I faced a few fear foods but for the most part I ate the same "safe" foods. I continued to gain weight nonetheless. Moral of the story- follow the Minnie Maude guidelines and don't screw your metabolism up any more than the ED already has.

Intake
I won't be putting intakes up frequently as it means I end up counting the calories to make sure they are at the minimums before putting them up and of course counting calories is an ED-driven habit that I am trying to quit. However, I will occasionally post them to help some of you recovery beginners take a look at what the minimums look like. Please realise that it is what your intake may look like much further on in recovery/remission and that it is expected that you will almost certainly need far, far more than the minimums to recover. Your diet will also be less varied than mine because my appetite and cravings have normalised because my body is healthy. You will almost definitely experience severe cravings for certain foods that may take up your entire calorie intake for the day and that is absolutely fine.
